We have been to the Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel 3 times now and have never been disappointed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table. Not only was the food 1st class, our waitress, Erica made sure we were looked after at all times.

The dining room is a lovely intimate room with open fireplace. The steaks are not cheap but worth every cent. We will continue to go back.

Menu was very basic, and lacked seafood options (only 1). Desserts were yummy

Some issues with booking - seating available on line but when called over phone - told it was full. Then halfway through meal- manager asked us who seated us at the table and if we had just seated ourselves! ... really? Why not ask your own staff first? Beautiful space and friendly waitresses.

We came for dinner for our first wedding anniversary. The starters were great we had the octopus and dip and olives. We then waited 45 mins for our main course but the pub did not look that busy to warrant such a wait. There was also no acknowledgement by staff. My husbands steak although really tasty was not cooked medium rare as requested. When paying $60 for a steak you would like it cooked as requested. The risotto I had was good. We were going to have dessert however as we waited so long for our main we didn’t want to wait this long for dessert. The service was ok although were not offered drinks when they came to the table to clear plates or bring food.

The perfect balance between local pub and restaurant! Service was spot on with lots of small touches that make a dining experience above average. We tried steak night - they were perfectly cooked. Our entrée was also delicious. Great selection of wines by the glass. Definitely a new favourite local for me!
