First time here and also a great experience for our first meal out since the March shutdown - I was expecting (and accepting) that service and food might be a little rough due to the extended shutdown but on both fronts, the experience was impeccable. Great service and the food was stunningly tasty. My only critique would be the food was a little on the pricier side but given what hospo has been through lately they can justify trying to recoup some cost and regardless, the quality of the meals justified those prices. Would go again and will recommend to friends.
There was a party on in the function room, which meant the staff seemed a bit flustered. Waited a very long time for the bill and to pay. Food was good, but given how expensive it is, probably just good enough.
our night started with a little disappointment with an entry but the rest was very nice and we enjoyed the night.
Great wait staff
Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff, superb meal. We ate in the bar as we were enjoying the ambiance, service was excellent. Good selection of tap beers and good wines, just need to chill the Pedro Ximinez for next time we come; which we surely will.
Service is great. Food is excellent. The portion is generous. Produce is fresh. Very enjoyable evening will colleagues before Christmas. Highly recommended.
We have been to the Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel 3 times now and have never been disappointed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table. Not only was the food 1st class, our waitress, Erica made sure we were looked after at all times.
Great produce and staff was very attentive. Really great dishes on offer.
We had a fun night, great service and good food.
Service was terrible ordered a entree and it never came. Took over 2 hours to get just a main meal. Was never offered deserts or coffee. Glasses were often empty during visit
The dining room is a lovely intimate room with open fireplace. The steaks are not cheap but worth every cent. We will continue to go back.
Service, atmosphere and food was brilliant. We will definitely be back.
Menu was very basic, and lacked seafood options (only 1). Desserts were yummy
Some issues with booking - seating available on line but when called over phone - told it was full. Then halfway through meal- manager asked us who seated us at the table and if we had just seated ourselves! ... really? Why not ask your own staff first? Beautiful space and friendly waitresses.
Great food- loved the steak and salad, ambience and friendly service.
Had a great night out
Great upstairs dining space for groups
It was great that we could hear one another speak. A little cool in the courtyard.
Enjoyed my night there!
We came for dinner for our first wedding anniversary. The starters were great we had the octopus and dip and olives. We then waited 45 mins for our main course but the pub did not look that busy to warrant such a wait. There was also no acknowledgement by staff. My husbands steak although really tasty was not cooked medium rare as requested. When paying $60 for a steak you would like it cooked as requested. The risotto I had was good. We were going to have dessert however as we waited so long for our main we didn’t want to wait this long for dessert. The service was ok although were not offered drinks when they came to the table to clear plates or bring food.
