It was the best restaurant I've been during my trip to Sydney. We had a seafood platter and it was very beautiful and delicious. Very friendly staffs and nice modern atmosphere. Well over my expectations. I will definately come back when I ever visit Sydeny.

The setting and ambiance is wonderful.. the food delicious .. My only problem is that I have a hearing deficit ( awkward) and when we sat down they placed another table of people next to us .. that ok.. but I asked for us to be moved to a quieter place as I couldn't hear OUR conversation .. explaining my problem was all understood.. so they moved us .. and the next group of people that entered the restaurant were placed adjacent to us again. ;-( so -- not a disaster but just uncomfortable for me.. THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL!!! so that sorta made up for it all.

Excellent food and service. Staff were great and helped us to choose the best tasting from the menu. Ambiance was great as well. Fish and prawns were excellent.

The restaurant was not easy to find once inside The Star. We had 2 ask a few people to get there. Ambience, view and service staff were very good. Pricing was quite high for lunch. It’s a place for special occasion only.

Food was great, top notch, I feel deserves a chef’s hat. Unfortunately the service let it down. I’ve been to many of the iterations of Flying Fish and the food has always been stellar. Usually service is also stellar but last night from the multiple incorrect dishes that landed and the awkwardness of our waitress dropping incorrect cutlery down and chopsticks for some reason it all felt very unorganised and ill prepared. The normal explanation of the dishes did not happen except for one dish, and at the end when we said the manager felt he would give us two dessert wines even though we ordered one was a surprise but then the two empty glasses were taken away and one glass only landed. So communications were definitely a miss. I hope to be back and hopefully front of house issues will be ironed out.

We dined here before a show and it was absolutely wonderful. Had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table, very attentive staff and excellent cocktails. Staff were friendly and attentive. Their seafood was fresh and delicious and beef cooked perfectly. We were in and out in just over 90 mins but never felt rushed, and so close to the theatre it was almost too convenient. Will definitely be adding this to my list of places to return.

Very nice atmosphere. Fantastic service. Asked if we had and dietary requirements which was fantastic because we are gluten-free and provided us with gluten free bread as a starter. Great variety for gluten free meals too.

Best service experience. Attentive without overbearing. Chef provided a few extra complimentary tastings to add to the experience. Seafood all very good.

The food was amazing. Highly recommend the scallops and the snapper...unbelievable food. Service could be a bit more responsive. Staff were very friendly but seemed distracted and were at times not very attentive.
