We like coming here because it’s our local and we see people we know even if we’re not intending to meet them. This time unfortunately, the food wasn’t as good as usual. I don’t know if the chef has changed or is away but several dishes were tepid rather than warm/hot and lacked flavour.

Food was good but didn’t cater so well for kids. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

I specifically came back for the Veggie burger which is a cauliflower patty - loved it! the fries are also amazing - the really thin, cross kind. It did not disappoint. I like the look and feel of the pub - it's a traditional neighbourhood pub but you can bring families here as well. It's old-school charm with a fresh menu.

Out of the way from the hustle and bustle of oxford street. Well worth the diversion.

Had a great lunch for 14 people on Sunday. Most of us ordered the Sunday roast which was delicious. James introduced himself and could not have been more helpful. We will be back.

I was surprised that there weren't more people there on a lunch time Friday when you tick most boxes. We went to the Lord Dudley after lunch and again thought it surprising how the numbers were down. I guess there's a lot of places in competition. The 2 for 1 you offered was great. The staff were great and we were asked after our meal if we enjoyed it. We did! I had steak and my sister had the veal cutlet. The barman was helpful and always said thank you for tips. I'm making the effort to write as you deserve it.
