Exceptional team of staff, extremely hospitable right from walking in the door together with excellent and caring service. Each meal was super delicious as well - so thanks and congrats to all the chefs. Would highly recommend.
Really beautiful dining room, can't believe it used to be Fratelli fresh! Wonderful food and drinks, attentive service. Loved the tomato tart, kingfish, mackerel. It's very trendy at the moment as evidenced by the crowd which makes for quite a lot of noise but not too much. One thing that bothered us was the discrepancy between male and female waitstaff. Female staff were universally lovely but their uniforms meant that when they serve or clear up, their derrieres were totally revealed which at one point was right next to one of our arms. It was funny but also weird. It's obviously great for some diners but it made us feel really sorry for them as they were clearly being treated like meat by some, and it doesn't seem fair that the men get to wear normal length clothing. It's clearly inequitable which is not where the world is headed and hospo should reflect that. We will recommend the food etc to friends but that bit of service felt really out of touch
We had a good meal, the entrees were really good. Mains were ok, but some dishes unavailable. Wine list is ok as long as you want to go expensive. We did not think the service is commensurate with the price point. Setting nice but noisy.
Franca is fast establishing itself as a neighbourhood favourite !
Matty at the bar makes exceptional cocktails! Food was amazing
Beautiful Dinnig room, great service, lovely food and reasonable prices. Even during Valentine's Day, never felt rushed. Tables are a little close but otherwise a wonderful experience
Franca has a wondeful atmosphere. Staff are well trained and attentive. The food is top quality without being over inventive. For me it has become a good regular
Terrific service and beautiful food in a gorgeous atmosphere. Total winner. Even on a soaking wet day it felt light and airy and inviting. We’ll be back
We had the most wonderful time at Francas. The venue is beautiful and service attentive. Food was so much better than the reviews written here. I loved the clam entree (big portion!) and loved my seafood linguine. But the highlight was the souffle we had for dessert. It was heavenly. Melts in your mouth kind. Would definitely visit again.
Acoustics are great: I love that one can talk in a confidential tone and still be understood by one’s almost deaf parent in this restaurant. There’s too much loud music in trendy watering holes these days! French influences and heavy seafood content in the menu made for a very agreeable lunch. At $130 a head with 2 courses, 2 sides, coffee and only 3 glasses of Chardonnay between us, it was no gift. Still, quality was au rendezvous....
From the moment we were greeted @ the door & seated @ our booth we were made to feel welcome & special. All staff interactions were professional, genuine & friendly. The food was delicious as were the drinks. Cannot fault!
The food is very good and the staff are delightful, attentive and friendly. I do think the wines are expensive..most wines are over $80 ,many over $100 ... the wine mark up seems high.. we had two courses and a bottle of wine and ended up paying over $150 each... it makes a dinner out very expensive
At tentative
I have been 3 times to Franca and love the atmosphere the decor and the staff The food has always been delicious but I feel now the menu needs to have a few changes in all the courses
Lovely bright open space and an excellent spot for an afternoon meal. I chose to go at lunchtime because they have the most tasty burger on the menu during the day (and at the bar all day long I think). Very delicious.
Excellent food. Service was very good. Good dine here every night of the week.
beautiful...expensive but worthy, well done...stunning design...love the curved bench seating, the valet chairs and the brass...Sydney needs places like this
Great overall. Great place for a date or celebration.
Great restaurant for a date night. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Make sure to leave room for dessert. We will be back.
Staff very busy and not able to engage, trying to get thru volume, drinks at bar were weak and expensive for what you received, however these are the prices but at least pour proper measure. Food quality good back lacking in substance, senior staff busy socialising rather than being more attentive, a display of arrogance and insincerity, won’t be rushing back
