Average. Poor service, we waited for over 20 minutes for our drinks so a missed opportunity to sell more drinks. Pizza was ok, crust was too big and one pizza was light on toppings. Dessert tasted like it was mass manufactured. Good value for the happy hour offers, but not worth paying full price.

Great location in Darling Harbour Quarter with a good number of outside seats. 6 pm chefs pretty busy and meals slow to arrive for a salad. Tables outside are buckling and need replacing

Food is good and so are the drinks but the service is terrible. Slow, unorganised and some of them were just plain rude and unhelpful. With such a great location and good food, it’s a shame the service can be so bad

Great pizza and pasta, and friendly service with some live music as well on a Friday night! Desserts and gelato were also delicious. A lovely night out.

The service was terrible. The waitress showed us our table. I had requested highchairs at the time of booking and they weren’t there so she went to get them then slammed them (whilst stacked) upon arrival so the chairs got stuck together, we were the ones who moved the chairs around and set up. Food came but it took ages to get sharing plates. Took some plates from a table near the chef and essentially got told off for taking plates. We came here out of convenience and thought it would be a kid friendly restaurant. The mussel pasta was too salty, the beef cheeks lacked flavour. However the gelato was good. Orange juice was outrageously expensive at $8 a glass with no kids sizes. We have honestly eaten here before and the service has always been average, I think they’re under staffed so attitude comes out and whilst there is a table available they may not have the time to set it up. We’ve also had other pastas which were good. Antipasto plate was good. We do love that the kids eat free but there is no kids size drinks or gelato.

We arrived and the waiter knew that we requested a high chair and promptly added one to the end of the table. Food was good but the person taking our order didn’t advise us that it was happy hour so we ordered off the normal menu. We only found out because we saw the menu on another table. Good deals for happy hour on drinks and snacks. We topped up from the happy hour menu. Overall we think it’s good for family and large groups - food is good and tasty But it gets busy really quick!

This restaurant uses an app to place orders although you can also order from the counter. The app wasn’t updated to include the monthly specials and isn’t very flexible if you need to change or remove an ingredient. My friend asked the waiter about some of the ingredients in an item but he wasn’t really sure and didn’t bother to find out for us. The table was cleaned but the waiters didn’t refill the cutlery bucket so we had to ask for it. The service was quite average but the food is acceptable.

The food and atmosphere here is really good. The pastas and salads are delicious, the pizzas are nice (but could do with a bit more something). The only issue I have is that the bar where you order the food takes soooo long. I was waiting for 15 minutes to get served and there was only one person ahead of me! The issue lies in the fact that the person who takes your order also makes the drinks/cocktails, so it takes ages. Dont understand why they dont have someone else making the drinks. Bar is and has always been organised badly. Please take note fratelli! other than that, always happy here.

We enjoyed the happy hour specials and food was decent on the cheap with good atmosphere and good service. If you are looking for a casual meal that fulfill cravings for carbs, this is the place.

The busier the Darling Harbour becomes unfortunately the slower the service is for ordering food & drinks and delivering food. Chef preparation of salad was great.

Of all the Fratelli Fresh restaurants this is the most disappointing. There is some great staff there but the concept needs to change. The ordering system leaves you feeling pressured into joining an app that hasn't been seen at other outlets (like we all need yet another app) & if you choose to not take part, then be prepared for a lengthy wait to pre order your food. The food quality is good but just hope that it arrives quickly as there is quite often fresh staff wandering around the very large venue for over 5 mins trying to find the hungry patron. If it's your first visit to Fratelli, go to Bridge St or Crows Nest as these are proper restaurants. On a more positive note, Darling Harbour does have an amazing kitchen fitout (even the kitchens that are not in use) & an even more amazing desert bar. Friendly staff & management.

The restaurant was packed with people so we were glad we had made a reservation. The meals came out super fast and the were delicious. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely appauling experience. We had a show to go to and were using the $25 'all you can eat' pizza and pasta. we intended to have one main pasta dish each (3) plus a pizza to share. We arrived at 6pm believing 1.5 hours would be enough to do this. The waiter was unable to explain how the deal worked to us. It was very confusing and she had to clarify three times how the 'deal' worked. She still didn't explain it correctly, we discovered too late later on. She said we had to finish one meal before we ordered the next. So we ordered a pizza and two pastas. We waited over thirty miuntes for them. When we finished the pizza we went to order the final and third pasta so our friend could eat her main. She then explained we had to finish every bite of both remaining pastas before we could order one more dish. So we quickly finished both pastas between us (not pleasant to scoff down your dinner so your friend can eat by the way) to then order the next one. By the time we were able to scoff down the two pastas and managed to get the attention of the waiter it was 710pm. We had been there for 1 hour 10mins and were due to leave to make our 730pm show. So we asked for the final pasta to be rushed if possible and for the bill. 10 minutes later the bill came and was completely incorrect. We then waited another 5 minutes and the bill came back again, still incorrect. Finally I paid and we sprinted to the theatre to make our show on time. Absolutely shit and stupid experience and system. The final pasta never arrived so the third person in our party never ate dinner. We'd been looking forward to this night out for so long and the meal was an absolute disaster and outrage. The staff were nice enough but the system was an absolute joke. Will defintely not be returning anytime soon.

Delay bringing out starter. Took about 40 minutes while a lot of mains were served around us.

Fratelli Fresh at Darling Harbour has one of the nicest settings of all of their restaurants. The waiters were very attentive and made sure we were happy with everything.

Hostess was clueless and disinterested. Wait staff poorly trained. No idea what wine they were serving (2/5drinks wrong). Over fifty minutes wait for salads. Didn’t come back for payment although said would be right back. Then nearly ten minutes at bar to pay. Very disappointing for a venue in this location. Been to otherFratelli Fresh restaurants - much better than this one.

We always love the range and atmosphere at dining with fratelli fresh. This specific night we tried the all you can eat mussels. Great price, favoured the tomato and chilli flavoured sauce. The spritz menu was vast and super tasty!

Service was painfully slow. Staff were just walking around not helping diners. After looking around for several minutes to flag wait staff, I eventually got up to ask a staff member how to order more mussels only to be told we had to go back to the bar where we originally placed our order. This should’ve been explained when we first ordered and paid. We were in the restaurant for 1 hour 20 minutes for 2 servings of mussels each - 1 hour spent waiting to order and waiting for food and 20 minutes eating time. First round of mussels were almost too salty to eat but second round was slightly less salty. Mussels were tiny like they had been overcooked. Staff seemed unprepared for lunch service or just indifferent.

About the restaurant

Hidden Freshness

Set in the heart of the bustling Darling Harbour is Fratelli Fresh. This thriving venue is a favourite of corporates on the hunt for a quick breakfast bite or a lunchtime feast - what more can we say, this glorious Italian resto is just what the doctor ordered.

Hunker down with a bowl of pasta or sink your teeth in to a slice of gourmet pizza that’s been pulled straight from the wood fire oven - it really doesn’t get any better.

Best dish: any of their pasta dishes.
