    Lovely venue. Staff lovely. Food okay, not amazing. But seriously... the music! It was like trying to eat dinner in a nightclub. I think we misjudged the vibe of the place, for an EOFY dinner and drinks with the work girls. We liked the music - if we were intending to dance to it, rather than try to hear the person two seats away at our table of 8. It was quite empty so not much of an atmosphere at 7:30 on a Friday night.

    Guys what has happened! I used to be a regular when I lived in Perth and was excited to take some friends for a Friday lunch. The food has really dropped off and the service (which had always been fantastic) was poor. There were perhaps 3 other tables and the staff were inattentive and more interested in chatting than taking our orders. So sad it was always so good!

    Gazette only allow diners to stay for 1.5 hours. That simply isn't long enough. We were very rushed. Our mains were brought out before we had finished our entrees and we didn't have enough time for dessert. The food was very good and the staff were good but the time limit would stop me from coming back again.

    Food was delicious. Restaurant was a bit quieter than expected- thought it would be busier even though it was Tuesday night. Service was attentive, though there weren’t many tables to look after. Overall we all enjoyed the meal.

    My colleagues and I booked here for dinner recently because the meal prices looked very reasonable. Some dishes are quite small so will require a side dish to accompany it. There is an extensive drinks menu and cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. Bonus that Bobs Bar is on the rooftop for pre or post dinner drinks.

Perth’s dining scene welcomes Gazette, a new modern Italian venture from Colonial Leisure Group inside the Print Hall Building. Inspired by the vibrancy of Roman culture, Gazette brings a fun playful take to Italian dining with a focus on traditional, hearty dishes.

A Josper oven forms the centrepiece of the kitchen, firing charcoal grilled Margaret River veal and prime cuts of beef. Regional ingredients feature across the menu – try a salad of charcoal-grilled Western Australian cuttlefish, or Fremantle octopus with locally sourced chorizo. Hand-made pizzas and pastas round out the menu – just as you’d expect from this modern twist on classic Italian dining.
