Food was overpriced for what was presented. Presentation was average. Tasted ok. Small portions. A small chicken thigh on the bone for $25 is not value for money. The gorgonzola sauce on the mash was very tasty. Beers served in the paddle were flat and the wine expensive considering the quality of it.

Had a great time at George IV Inn for fathers day. Atmosphere was fantastic and service was great considering how busy they were. Pizza & Salads were great but the entree's (Sweet Potato Fries & Chicken Wings) were average.

I booked a table for myself, my mum and my dad on fathers day. I booked it well in advance because I remembered how busy the George was on Anzac day. We were all really looking forward to eating on the new deck outside. When we arrived at our scheduled time there was hardly anyone there yet, but I could see all the tables were reserved inside and outside. I went up to the counter and told them I had a reservation and could I please sit outside. They took ages to find where we were sitting because My name wasn’t on the map. Then they realised I was put out the very front of the pub. Even though all the tables were empty, they wouldn’t let us sit on the deck which is why I booked this venue very far in advance. They also didn’t offer to show us where our table was so we had to go looking for a while. It was so disappointing being stuck out the front with no atmosphere and the loud horrible motorbikes making it impossible to have a conversation. Also when we went up to order our food the three staff members behind the till were just talking and took a good 10 seconds to acknowledge us. I could hear other people who were very disappointed being stuck out the front too. If you get booked out, don’t take more bookings. Or put the last ones to book out in the overflow section out the front. That was so unfair how I was probably one of the first to book but got put in the peasant section. Probably won’t do that again.

Not a place for a long lunch as it has hard wood chairs. Service was quite fast our international visitors thoroughly enjoyed. Very over priced but food was nice.

Took over an hour for meal to come out. Paid extra for for chicken in my salad- not sure they could call it chicken- tiny pieces of hard dry something..

Definitely need clear screen round the verandas. The wind was freezing yesterday. Food beautiful as usual. Love live music. Shame I had to keep going to main bar for beer and JD cans as we booked the alfresco bar. I didn’t realise it was craft bar only. Extra gravy $3 for kids , too expensive. We had a beautiful day thank you and will always return . I have booked all your rooms also for 16/11/19 . We love it at the George.??

Really slow service which would have been ok if dessert pizza wasn’t served before dinner pizzas. Pizzas were all great to eat though

Great place to spend a lazy afternoon, food good quality and plenty of it. Two fires in the bar area make a nice cosy atmosphere
