Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Firstly we weremt allowed to sit outside even though it was a beautiful sunny afternoon but refused to serve us out there, secondly we were not provided with menus and we're told they were doing a banquet. We were not informed of what was in the banquet let alone what the price was. We asked for the menu two seperate times and never received it. We got given dirty wine glasses with red lipstick on them and had to get up out of our seats each time we needed their assistance. The food was in fact good but the atmosphere and service was horrendous including listening to them fight with another paying customer. When it came time for the bill, what we read from their website was $25 set lunch banquet ended up costing us $60 per head. They then proceeded to argue with us saying they told us up front. Absolutely disgusting people and service and will NEVER be returning again and do NOT recommend putting anyone else through a meal at this venue

It was an easy afternoon and we weren’t rushed. Staff were lovely but could have been more attentive. Accommodated vegetarians and non dairy easily so that was appreciated.

We booked online but were disappointed to discover it was banquet only on Mother's Day. Furthermore, they charged the full $60 for a 3 and 5 year old! Although the food was great, it was ridiculously overpriced for the kind of establishment it is. We're unlikely to return.

Since ownership changed, MESA is no longer the restaurant it used to be! Complete lack of service, my 3 friends and myself, that we regularly had lunch meetings there for years, were waiting for some 50 minutes before anyone paid any attention to us, in spite of our repeated attempts to catch the attention of someone. A very polite young French lady eventually attended to us. Lucky we could communicate in French - as her English were very poor a fact that quite honestly didn’t bother us at all, attempted to look after us. We ordered what was on the Menu board for lunch, only be advised after a while that these were no longer available. She was unable to tell us what is available on the menu so that we will not have further delays. We asked for the manager and the individual who came and claimed at first that he was working there and then imposed himself on us screaming that he was the owner, asked us to leave when we complaint for the service and lack of attention. Obviously, much to our disappointment as we really enjoyed the atmosphere and cuisine under the previous ownership, we will never go back and most certainly we would not recommend it to anyone. Pity as what was a very good restaurant, is rapidly going downhill under the new ownership!

There are some new owners and staff which made it feel different. We missed seeing Maria and her warm welcoming smile. All new staff meant service was a little clumsy. The baklava ice cream is still great but was missing the little pieces of baklava on the side :-(

About Geppetto's

Feast of the Olympians Mesa Greek Cuisine is a restaurant that combines the old and the new to delightful effect. They bring together an attractive bric-a-brac of rustic wooden furniture and sleek modern designs, like the charming contrast of roaring fire with electric blue bar lighting! Mesa has an upmarket feel but without the high prices – so you can enjoy fine Greek dining at a great rate. This, along with the friendly and chilled-out atmosphere, make Mesa just the place to go if you want to unwind. The fare here tastes so authentic, and it’s all thanks to the exclusive recipes that have been passed on through the family of the owners. Head chef George Papagelou has created a menu of classic Mediterranean feasts, from delicious meats from the grill to juicy seafood and homey Greek dishes. Order your favourites a la carte, or make the most of their banquet for some of the best that Mesa has to offer. We reckon you’ll be back for more. Best dish: gyros – lamb off the spit
