We like coming to this neighbour hood restaurant for fresh pasta. The waiter was extremely hard working despite being the only waiter on duty. Will come back again.

A fun little venue, with user friendly dishes. Staff were all happy and friendly, and no corkage fee was a welcome surprise. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to segue from Dolmio at home

We celebrated my wife's birthday here, and she being Italian she thought we would try Gino's. Well the 7pm Tuesday 23rd June 2020 booking via the internet was simple and it just got better!!!! Parking was easy in Racecourse Road near Kingsford Smith Drive a short stroll to the restaurant. Shown promptly to our Covid spaced table and the waiter came soon after to take our drinks order and asked if we had decided on our meals. He waited whilst we decided and then brought our drink and they have a good selection of wines and beers. My wife's oysters kilpatrick entreie were brought and she said they were excellent. Our mains were also excellent and the service to our table was terrific and friendly. According to my wife the meals are very authentic Italian and great quality with generous servings. Cassata sweets were as per authentic taste and presentation. Good drinks list and prices on meals and drinks was by no way very expensive...... Quite reasonable. Tables were cleared quickly after we had finished and Waiter service was supurb and the restaurant was busy with dine in and take a way orders. Don't miss Gino's if you like authentic Italian cooking...... Highly recommend you book ahead. We will certainly be returning.!!!

Clearly a really popular place, and the menu and food we saw coming out looked good. Unfortunately, the wait staff (who appeared to be trying their best) were run off their feet, took 20 mins for someone to take our order including drinks, and after another 30 minutes with no food or drinks arriving, we had no choice but to leave in order to make it to a show we'd booked on time. We'd really like to try the place at some stage, but I think the lesson was don't have plans you need to get to if you want a booking here, or allow more than an hour for dinner.

We have regulars at Gino's for years. The food is always great and served hot. Last night I had the fish and it was more than great. A delight to eat.

Good homestyle Italian cuisine. Never disappoints, always the same good quality. Great price. Love the veal, so tender. We have been coming here for over 20 years.

Roadworks outside did not stop restaurant from filling on a Friday evening. Fortunately there is good parking at rear, and it’s a short walk from Brett’s Wharf ferry terminal. Wait staff were pleasant but seemed inexperienced and needed to be called over for drink orders. Our Prosecco and cuvée were oddly served in white wine glasses, but flutes were produced when requested. The menu is traditional with no real surprises, and there are plenty of options at reasonable prices. Our table had grilled barramundi, veal with mushrooms and pasta carbonara. All were generous and tasty helpings. Side salad was fresh and a bigger serve than needed for 3 as the fish and veal came with salad also. We enjoyed our evening but left for coffee and gelato elsewhere as the room got really noisy as more people came.

Tables close together and too small. Should have some Italian music in the background to add to the atmosphere
