It was fantastic. We all had delicious meals but there was no reference to our booking. I showed them my email confirmation but they had no record of it. Thus they were not expecting us, but they accommodated as very well without a problem. I would say ring to confirm your booking. Nevertheless our meals were perfect! Staff really friendly. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere to catch up mid week with friends. Food was great and moderately priced for pub food. Would recommend.

We had a great Bookclub meeting that was made even better by the excellent service and great variety of food and drinks. The staff made us feel very welcome and made sure the spacing and placing of our large table suited our noisy and chatty mob of book lovers as well as the other guests! Thanks

Our server was great, very attentive and lovely to our kids. My Parma was really good, very big! Hub enjoyed his steak and the kids meals were a good size. People behind the bar also very friendly with good customer skills

Good pub food at reasonable prices. Service is a bit hit and miss but the atmosphere and the location were perfect for a friends catchup. We will be back.

Father’s Day lunch was ruined really. We got there and they couldn’t find our booking. We had to wait 45 minutes for out $39 steaks where were burnt on the outside and tasted awful. My daughter ordered pizza which was undercooked. Many people who arrived after us got their food first so I guess they forgot us and cooked our good as fast as they could!

Good atmosphere to watch the football. Food is consistently good. The service was a bit slow tonight. It took a while to get the food.

Great food and wine The only thing is it’s situated very close to the general bar area so it’s really a great pub meal not a romantic atmosphere for dinner but that’s okay

Beef and chicken burgers for adults were very bland, and kids burgers had lots of spices and difficult for them to eat.

About the restaurant

Best pub food in Hawthorn? The Glenferrie Hotel is the place to be! The snazzy interior evokes classy turn-of-the-century colonial hotels, with its sumptuous wooden bar and great big chandeliers – but it’s all toned-down enough to feel like a local favourite! The outdoor area sits under a retractable sunroof so you get the best of the outdoors all-year-round, come heatwave or cold spell. The Glenferrie Hotel takes pub food seriously, that is why they’ve created a menu that’s both tasty and refined. Sit in quaint little wicker chairs and enjoy your classic pub favourites like good ol’ chicken parma, or maybe something a bit more worldly, like a Frenchy duckling main or some Indian-inspired chicken korma. Whatever you order, you know you’ll have your meal expertly prepared by a loving pub chef. This place really lives up to its reputation! For a pub meal that’s a little neater around the edges, The Glenferrie Hotel will dish you up a meal that’s exquisite and refined. Best dish: Barramundi with Eggplant Curry
