Our group of school friends always goes to The Glenmore when we have lunch together. The view from the roof bar on a clear day is wonderful - even for people who live in Sydney. The food is always good and one of the reasons we go there is that there are options for everyone. My only suggestion is that they really need to buck the trend of restaurants that seem to think their patrons are there to listen to loud background music rather than speak easily to each other.

My friend & I ordered a cob salad which was EXTREMELY disappointing. The presentation was very poor, the quantity of the lettuce was absolutely minimal, the corn was hard & dried out, as were the boiled eggs. I felt rather embarrassed that I had suggested that we go there for lunch because of the poor table service (for water) & quality of the meals for the price.

The Glenmore has a really lovely vibe, good views, really nice food for a "pub", easy to book. I would definitely go there again.

Been there many times. Bar staff on rooftop hopeless. It was far too windy and I had specifically asked for a table on the outside and not in the middle. I also booked weeks in advance. The food was cold, most meals didn't come out with the right things. Just terrible. We ended up going downstairs but had to look for our own table. It's not cheap to eat and drink there and I am a regular. But was embarrassed as everyone at my table thought it was average. Need to pick up your act its not just about making money off the drinks and food. Its also about people's enjoyment.

Great afternoon spent at the Glenmore Hotel. We had overseas visitors and they loved the place, great view of Sydney Harbour, good choice of menu options and reasonably priced. This place is a real gem and combines history, views and great food, drink and atmosphone

We had the whole dining room to ourselves (which suited us fine) but could hear the buzz of the crowd on the rooftop which created a nice ambience. Friendly staff and prompt, unobtrusive service and good pub food. Very happy.

Disappointed plastic straws being used. Lucky we bought our own. I did book in May for harbour view sadly didn’t get seated there. We still enjoyed our day

About the restaurant

The Glenmore Hotel is one of our fave spots on a sunny afternoon. Offering unrivaled views of the Harbour from their roof top bar, this is the ideal spot for a few drinks and a bite to eat.

With various dining and drink areas spread over several floors, there's something for every taste and occasion. The menu has a distinct pub vibe, so expect to find the classics plus a few fancy highlights.

We love the sharing menu, aptly labelled a 'food to fight over', and it's hard to beat the squid ink spaghetti with spanner crab, prawns, ginger, chilli, zucchini and pangrattato.

With it's old English charm and character, the Glemore is a glorious watering hole that must be tried.

Best dish: anything from the 'food to fight over' menu.
