The restaurant did not have us on their reservations list! (and I know that The Fork would have used good procedures with them) The food was ok but the rice was absolutely awful. Soggy, water laden. Almost anybody would make rice better than this, but for a Chinese restaurant to do so is unforgivable.

About Gold Leaf (Burwood)

Opulent chandeliers, high ceilings and white-clothed round tables establish the decadent aura of this classic yum cha eatery in Burwood. One of five Gold Leaf restaurants in Melbourne, this fine Chinese den is sure to satisfy dim sum and dumpling addicts with its large varieties of both; although that’s just the tip of the iceberg here. The a la carte selections encompass a huge range of Chinese specialties, including Peking duck, braised sliced abalone with mushroom in a hotpot, and sizzling garlic king prawns.
