The food here is good but it was excellent two years ago when we came - the flavour was more well balanced then. However it was still enjoyable and the staff are still providing great service
The food was amazing as usual. Staff we perfect and atmosphere isn’t the same outside but it was right for us on the night being a small group we could all have conversation.
Amazing food the dishes we had where fantastic! Service was wonderful everyone was super lovely and welcoming. Great atmosphere and perfect for couples, large groups and after work catch ups!
Great ambience and setting- tasty food- service a little slow to begin with especially drinks but food service excellent. Definitely worth a visit
The food was amazing, have eaten there numerous times. Service was not as good this time, we were left waiting quite a bit, we have always eaten at the kitchen benches and service awesome. Maybe restaurant was harder to serve in not sure. Food was amazing though and definitely worth trying again
Had a great time, the food was delicious! Service was also really good, me and my girlfriend sat in front of the kitchen, although it was busy we actually liked being there! Would recommend highly the 'Tuk Tuk' menu, great value!
Love it. A place where you immediately want to return on behalf of not getting through the menu is a winner. Love the curated wine list too... great to see some different SA wines.
It was lovely the food is delicious would be nice to dine alfresco on a spring, summer evening - don't recommend on a cold rainy night. although the staff put heaters it was cold, my wife couldn't feel her toes by the end of the dinner and we rushed to eat our food to go home - too cold. would go back again in better weather.
Food is amazing and will definitely come back soon!
We’ve consistently returned to Golden Boy for years , not just for the lovely food, but the warm and engaging service, which was unmatched in Adelaide. It felt like staff genuinely loved the food and working there and we’re excited to share it with patrons. Sadly, in the last year or so, with new staff, that art appears to be fading
We just wanted to touch base regarding your dining experience on last week. We would like to apologise for the disappointing dinner. - your feedback is greatly appreciated and we will look into changing our systems to achieve a better result. If you have anything else to add we would love to hear about it.
Even though I’d booked in advance i was sooo annoyed to find 3 of us squashed into a 2 seater table. Disappointed! Seems getting people in seems more important than comfort! Not my first visit but sadly this time will be my last.

Food delicious but service poor and inattentive. Also not good value for money. Good for big groups though

Amazing wait staff. Superb.
Absolutely delicious! Staff are lovely too.
Great food, great service. Will definitely be back. We had the Tuk Tuk option, this is their choices for your meal. We tried and loved dishes we would not have chosen ourselves.
First time at Golden Boy, visited from Melbourne ... loved it. Food very similar to Chin Chin in Melbourne.
Great food and our the staff member that waited on our table was fantastic. Cocktails was exceptional.
Best Thai in Adelaide

A Golden ticket...
While some may say Adelaide is a sleepy city, Golden Boy is proving that Adelaide is very much alive. Open until the bar closes, Golden Boy caters for those late night goers looking for seriously good Thai Food at all hours of the night (the kitchen shuts up shop at midnight...can you believe it!). With a fit out that closely resembles Melbourne’s busy Thai eatery, Chin Chin, Golden Boy brings a freshness to Adelaide’s food scene. Golden Boy’s menu is an extensive detour into traditional and contemporary Thai dishes, with signature dishes including the egg net salad of crispy pork and dried prawn, the kingfish sashimi and crispy barramundi with green mango and toasted peanut salad. If the menu is all too overwhelming (with too many tasty thai treats to choose between) opt for the ‘Tuk Tuk’ option - a range of dishes and exotic flavours chosen for you from across the menu by the friendly wait staff. Everything goes down a treat at Golden Boy. She really shines.
