Mainly good food, didn’t like the prawn orecchiette as it was swimming in an oil/butter mix, try it if you like that kind of thing but our party didn’t

The service was terrible. We felt very rushed and that our pre booking was an inconvenience to the restaurant. We booked two weeks in advance for a large group of 9. On the day day we ordered a selection of drinks and food food from the entree and main meal section of the menu. Our food was hurried out of the kitchen with no consideration to order or dining experience. We didn’t receive all our drinks prior to food being served. We had to request on numerous occasions for them to slow down the servicing of food. We noted on departure that it was not a great experience and had we been given more time would have spent more than twice the amount on drinks. The staff did not work effectively together as a team, at times they were abrupt and seemed rushed dispute the restaurant being mostly vacant. A very disappointing experience.

Very large portion. Good quality of food. The scotch fillet was nicely cooked (best dish for the meal). Pasta was a bit hard for my liking but my husband enjoyed it. Kid’s pizza was huge. Only thing bad was the bread with the chicken liver parfait - a couple of pieces were very burnt and not edible. We will definitely go there again if we are in the area. Waiting staff very friendly.

Service was slow and not enough staff on a Friday night

As I entered the restaurant no one came to seat us or ask if we had a booking, wait staff just looked at us and continued with what they were doing, we had to ask the bar staff to get someone to seat us. No one gave us menus, I had to get up and get our own. I also spilled a drink on accident and no one came to help or even just give me a cloth or more serviettes to clean it up myself. Also I wasn't asked if I wanted another drink the entire night. We sat there for over an hour with no one noticing us or coming to take our order. Finally some one said they would but he forgot and we went another 15 minutes without our order being taken. The food was quite nice once we finally got it but I don't think I would come back due to such poor service.

Great range of beers and divine cocktails. The food was well prepared and presented and tasted amazing. Love the share menu, everyone got a taste of what was on the table which is great for us because we can never decide on one thing!

The food was so delicious but came in the wrong order - should have had the oysters first before the zucchini flowers. The slow cooked lamb was fabulous. Device was very ordinary as it was one if one of the chefs last night and the drinks took forever. We didn’t receive them until after our first course. Grazing plates are a great idea

About Goldfish Hunter Valley

Something a little stronger? Classy lounge bar, meets casual deck dining is just one way to describe Goldfish Bar and Restaurant. Located on one of the Hunter Valley’s most iconic wineries, 'Tempus Two', Goldfish effortlessly blends the elegance and glitter of a city cocktail bar with the simple charm of a Hunter winery. Sink back and enjoy the 1920’s style decor and watch the wait staff working hard behind the sparkling bar... or saunter out on to the al fresco dining space and enjoy a tasty cocktail. These guys are famous for their cocktails, so make sure you try a cheeky mixed drink from the Bartenders Choice menu - our favourite is the ‘Sweet Nothing’: a mix of vodka, triple sec, pineapple juice, elderflower syrup, apple, lime & and raspberry juice with vanilla gomme! And the food? The menu is diverse, crafted by head chef Michael Blank (from the Bathers’ Pavillion and Hugo’s in Manly), and features a collection of rustic Mediterranean cuisine and crusty gourmet pizzas. Even though the Hunter Valley is well known for its wine, Goldfish is the place to go when you fancy something a little stronger! Best Dish: Bangalow pork neck, crackling, apple and vanilla puree, witlof, pickled radish and bordelaise.
