Great value for 3 course meal. Students do a great job of serving. The addition of succulents and fresh flowers really adds to this large room. I think there were some plastic plants which would be best removed.
Beautiful location, building and dining room. Students very polite. Excellent parking.
Great to showcase an iconic building and allow students the chance to enhance their service skills
Wait staff learning hospitality skills & are very keen to give the best service. Christmas in July menu was one of the best I have had there. Fish dishes in both the entree & main list which was wonderful. Have recommended to my friends.
Three course menu.
great service by hospitality students
Iconic building offering students a chance to practice their hospitality skills.
Lovely restaurant. There were four of us and we all loved it. Delicious food and well sized portions (not too big so you can fit a dessert)
It is great to give these students the opportunity to improve their skills in a safe environment. The service was great.
As a training restaurant this is great value for money with good service, excellent food and wine in a grand and historic setting
Food & service great. Nervous but delightful & attentive wait staff eager to please. Drinks could have been colder-perhaps their fridge needs readjusting. Will definitely go again even though the restaurant only operates Tues to Friday. Pity it’s not open on the weekends.
Food and service not as good as it used to be : ( but still awesome venue and good fun with family and friends.
Great value for money! Lovely students serving you very nicely. Love the high ceiling and nice atmosphere as it's not too crowded.
Unique dining experience and something different in manly.
Enjoy lunch or dinner whilst enabling the ICMS students to master their skills.
Very good value and loved the quiet atmosphere where the 4 of us could easily connect and enjoy the lovely food
Good value for money for a midweek 3 course dinner less than $40pp cooked and served by first year cooks and waiters in a beautiful grand dining room.
It is a very pleasant experience to be served by the students at Grand Dining Room. The food is well prepared and presented and very tasty. It is an ideal place for a group to enjoy good food in a lovely old building.

Practice makes perfect right?
That’s what they say. And that’s exactly what the Grand Dining Room helps aspiring hospitality students do - practice. When you eat in the grand dining room you will be served by first year students who are learning hands on management skills among many others. Treat yourself to a three course lunch or dinner for just $35 and enjoy dishes like roast rump of spring lamb, parmesan crusted supreme of chicken and vegetable parmigiana. Don’t let the student curve ball turn you off. You’ll be treated to tip top service and a fine meal at the Grand Dining Room.
Best dish: Roast rump of spring lamb, with smoky eggplant puree, rosemary potatoes and pimento coulis
