Great find after work. The daily specials are great and we were just in time for happy hour 5-7! Would come back and would recommend for anyone to come try.

Great food but service left a lot to be desired. The junior staff were fine but the more experienced staff did not appear interested in serving you.

Sirloin steak was poor quality ,to fatty & overpriced, side salad was very disappointing with lettuce leaves only! Chips & the barramundi were very good.

very hot, very noisy, food quite ordinary, service very pleasant but quite slow. There was a large table (approx 20 people) immediately behind us. They were very noisy which raised the noise levels even more - we had to shout to our friends to be heard. Surely for a very large group there is a separate room or area.

It was lovely food sitting next to the fire with a class of Shiraz on a cold day

Great pub and tasty food. The only criticism is that it can get quite noisy in the dining room and children are left to run riot.

The food is always excellent. I prefer it on a quieter night early in the week because it can get very noisy.

The Half had a great atmosphere and feel to the place. The food was over priced, and the flavour and quantity could have been better.

Only negetive was that we couldnt book any earlier than 7:30pm although when we arrived the dining room was completely empty... 7:30pm is pretty late for dinner on a sunday.

A night under the moon

Built in the 60s, Half Moon was given a complete facelift by the talented team at Projects of Imagination and now boasts six drinking and dining spaces over two levels. The rejuvenated pub has a swish and stylish charm throughout and with a mix of indoor and outdoor areas it’s the perfect place for drinking, dining, socialising, party and function needs all year round. With one of Melbourne’s finest and most extensive wine lists by the glass and craft beers from around the globe, you will never go thirsty here. Nor will your appetite suffer, the all day dining menu is exceptional and is sure to keep hunger at bay.

Best dish: the original parma is created using organic chicken, free range black pig leg ham and buffalo mozzarella; crumbed flat head fillets are served with a side of mushy peas and crinkle cut chips
