Service was really friendly, food was delicious, a little crowded but great for a casual dinner. I would go back again - particularly for the slow cooked pork!

Great option for quick family meal, there was options for 6 of us. Some of the Gyozas fell apart, I suspect they were busy trying to keep up with the number of customers.

Customer service was great and indeed customer-centric. We were warmly welcomed from start to finish, great to have 50% off food but the service was not at all in any way discounted! Food was good, value for money with the discount (not sure if I would pay the same without), the quality of food and ambience is certainly worth the try!

The food was well prepared, tasted freshly made, came out in a timely manner. Staff are always friendly and reasonably attentive. It was a very option for a pre movie early dinner.

Quiet but quite alright. Smallest of the 3 HG venues I have visited and definitely the quietest. I am used to the loudness and the energy of the South Bank branch, but either way I have no complaints overall when it comes to the customer service and the food. I tried quite a lot of the Gyzoza dishes.

We ordered the steak 250g but it was awful. It definitely didint look like a 250g piece of meat as we regularly go to a local butcher and pay $16.00 for a single cut of 250g piece of steak. We ordered the Barramundi and the fish was good though.

I was a little disappointed overall to be honest. The serves were tiny and not really that nice. I've had much better for a lot less - even at half price I thought it was expensive for what we got. I asked my husband and kids if they wanted to go there again and it was a clear "NO".

Dinner for 2. Ordered pork gyoza and duck gyoza, both grilled, a chicken karaage, steamed rice, and beers. Gyozas were good as usual. The karaage was very very good, crispy and so juicy! Melt in your mouth goodness and went very well with the beers.

Nice food. Service a bit slow. Staff never apply the discount and question the validity of your reservation.

Food was enjoyable. Serving sizes are reasonable. Try the open Gyoza with pork belly.

Enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Perhaps the only thing I didn’t like was the close proximity of the tables.

My first experience at Harajuku. Got the 50% offer which made it worth the visit, otherwise it would be quite pricey. Food was ok. Menu advertised on the Fork is not the real reflection of the one in house. They need to update it so you know what's exactly available for order.

About the restaurant

If you hadn’t already guessed by the name - Harajuku Gyoza is OTT. Here at this wacky Japanese eatery in Indooroopilly, filled with kitch and cuteness, they’re serving up premium gyoza (Japanese style dumplings). Sit up at the counter and watch the chefs labour with love over your gyoza before stuffing your face with those little bite-size rounds of goodness. Make sure you save room for the dessert gyoza - a tiny banana and Nutella crepe that is fried and served with ice cream. For the full experience make sure you try some of the many Japanese beers that are on offer. If you're after a fun, crazy, memorable night then this is the place.

Best dish: gyoza, gyoza and more gyoza.
