The aptly named Harts Pub has certainly come full circle in its long lifetime. Originally a private residence, it somehow managed to survive the mass demolitions of the 1900s caused by the bubonic plague to become a quaint little pub around 30 years ago. In March, 2010 it underwent a major overhaul, including the transition from light bistro to full commercial kitchen. Situated in the heart of The Rocks, the heritage and rich history still remains but like its namesake this place can really pump. Head chef Kevin Naples now produces a quality modern Australian menu full of standout dishes, all perfectly matched to the dozen or so boutique beers produced by the award-winning Rocks Brewing Co.
