Great little place for a more quiet dinner without the hooha. We were having our anniversary dinner and this was the right place. Fine dining with real food and fantastic atmosphere. Nothing pretentious like other Melbourne cloned restaurants here in Hobart

While this was a lovely little place, we would not recommend. Our room was cosy and had nice fireplace burning but the food and service were a big letdown. When we arrived there were no more than 10 other customers, yet food took 45 min to arrive. Unfortunately after this wait we were so hungry and portions so small that the whole food experience was over in about 5 minutes. I ordered the duck, which was overcooked and needed more than a couple tiny vegetables to make it into a $34 meal. My partner's "fish of the day" with salmon and other seafood was also terribly overcooked though he did say the broth was nice. No vegetables on his plate made it also very disappointing for the price. The bruschetta that we ordered was nice. The waitress was sweet but she didn't check on us during our long wait and no water refills were offered. Perhaps it was just a bad night. I don't write bad food reviews often, but fell the need to say safe your money for one of the many other beautiful for venues in this city.

The staff seemed flustered and surprised to have customers. Some tables took a while to be served & customers were getting up to get water, cutlery, salt & pepper or menus. Food was ok. Broccolini side was overcooked & feta topping was not the freshest. Pizza was well cooked, generously topped with prawns, roasted tomatoes & cheese. Small size but enough to share.

Very slow service, which was disappointing because for the first half an hour we were the only people in the restaurant. After that 1 other couple arrived , they received their pizza before us!

Not a lot of atmosphere. Serving size a little on the small size. Food is absolutely delicious. Felt a bit strange at first as we were seated right near the entry desk and felt like the lady standing there could hear everything.

An enjoyable meal but we were 2 of only 8 in the restaurant on a Friday night. Not a good sign. The prawn pizza was very good.

Hearth is situated in a beautiful old home. The menu consists of small plates (not tapas) that are very unusual and delicious. Pizzas and mains (we had one of each) were delicious. We had the deconstructed cheesecake for sweets between us. It was delightful. Well worth a visit if you are going to Hobart.

Just OK. Service was poor and our bottle of wine mixed up with another table. They did give us another bottle when this was pointed out but I won’t be going back.
