Unfortunately the night started poorly as we were provided incorrect information about how our guests could order. After that the service was possibly the worst experienced at a fine dining restaurant being slow, as if the table was forgotten about, and frequently when food and drinks arrived at the table they were served to the wrong guests, including issues with allergies, and without any explanation. The food was very good, however based on cost, overall quality and quantity it was far inferior to other degustations we have experienced. The wine selection was very good. Unfortunately based on this experience I will not be recommending Hill of Grace to friends and family. I am happy for my name to be known by the restaurant however would prefer my name not to be displayed online.

Great food Service was a little disappointing - no one offered us any drinks on arrival, we waited for about 15mins (& they weren’t that busy) - we asked for our wine to be decanted (which it was) but it wasn’t decanted it enough time to let the wine breath

We arrived on time for dinner and the maître D declared that our booking was for two and not six...until I showed him the email confirmation. Then he scuttles off to do us this big favour of finding us a table for six. No apologies. The sommelier asks if we would like the degustation or ala carte and when pressed for more information, brings one menu of each for the whole table to share. The wine list is limited and unimaginative, and the somm was more of a salesman than wine expert. Food was generally good and other waiting staff were polite. We would recommend it to cricket enthusiasts - looking over the Oval - but for everyone else, go elsewhere.
