Very tasty food, perhaps a little too heavy handed with the garlic in my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing, as was the service of the table staff. Highly recommended & would definitely visit again.

Warm greeting on arrival. Seated pretty quickly given how busy it was. Recommend booking as queue outside of walkups. We had $65 menu. Seafood spring rolls, Salmon cerviche, Pork Bau, Barramundi, Soft shell crab paw paw salad. Food divine except spring rolls that were oily. Service btight, cheerful and helpful.

Great food and service at very affordable prices! Compares to other popular Asian fusion restaurants in Melbourne but at much more affordable prices and with the added benefit of being able to book a table and not be faced with a 2 hour wait to be seated! The cocktails are also delicious and waiting staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the local area, providing us suggestions for post dinner bars to visit. Would recommend!

About Hochi Mama

Oh Mama! This cheeky and colourful Vietnamese style venue is one for your to-do list. Boasting a killer menu and a super cool vibe, this place is great for a cocktail, a feast or a casual wine and dine with someone special. Work through the menu from the top down, starting with the smaller entree size plates - feat. pho'plings & hochi banh bao buns - before heading into the larger mains. Everything is designed to be shared, meaning you can order a hell of a lot of food and get a taste of everything. Pair your meal with a 'Good Morning Vietnam' cocktail and finish things off with a sweet dessert, the sweet coco banh Mi is our favourite. Best dish: slow cooked beef short ribs with morning glory and slaw.
