Great food. Shocking service. Please ensure staff at least can pronounce the name of the dishes and have a general knowledge of what is on the menu! This was our third visit but I don’t think there will be a fourth unfortunately : (

Great service and delicious food. Small serves (mostly) and not the cheapest, but it is pretty schmancy.

Beautiful food and service, vibe was a bit odd with the green walls but that wouldn’t stop us coming back or bringing friends, thanks for a great night!

Should add symbols beside menu items for gluten free, vegan etc. as saves asking and saves customer having to remember...

Everything was great but we should have ordered less food, my husband loves his food but it was even too much of a good thing for him. Perhaps waitress could have suggested this. Not locals but we ensure we visit every time we are down this way from Newcastle, well to be honest we have actually booked a stay around having a night out at the Hungry Duck. Those Duck spring rolls are to die for. Thank you for another great night. 👍

good menu with excellent follow through and flavours. But service needs to be significantly elevated. Currently not unpleasant but certainly not 'professional hospitality' based. Can do better.

About Hungry Duck

South for the winter The gentle rolling hills of Berry are a popular destination for city slickers wanting a bit of green and fresh air – and eateries like Hungry Duck are an equally motivating reason to head south for the winter – or any time of year, for that matter. Hungry Duck is helmed by chef David Campbell whose impressive cooking pedigree includes stints at Wockpool and Billy Kwong. As the name implies, duck features heavily on the menu, with duck three ways (duck spring roll, rare caramelised breast meat and a crisp Szechuan peppered leg) a hit with regulars. Open 6 days for dinner only (no BYO Friday and Saturday), bookings are essential if you want the opportunity to try the Jervis Bay squid chips, crab ravioli, wok-fried saltbush lamb or the Wagyu cheek and tail dumplings. As you can see, the menu is a paean to fresh, local produce cooked in traditional Asian style with a welcome twist. Leave room for dessert, though – you won’t want to miss out on the kaffir and Tahitian lime tart or the warm chocolate fondant with strawberry and lychee sorbet. This cosy diner even has an outdoor area, perfect for summer dining. Best dish: Duck spring rolls
