Exceptional food and service. Great options for vegetarians and fun sharing plates. Quite small portions so you do need to spend a bit though.

INDU is a wonderful restaurant for any occasion. The food was delicious, service excellent and ambience just right. I would heartily recommend it .

The food was really good as always and the portions were ideal for sharing. Was however disappointed with the dessert, in particular the wattalappan. It didn’t taste anything like the usual rich Sri Lankan wattalappan.

We had lunch booked for 2 on January 2nd, and were amazingly the only table when we arrived! As a result, the service was absolutely impeccable, as was the food. We opted for the 5 course degustation, but they were more than generous. Each dish was more delicious than the last. The spend per person is only as a result of our (perhaps slightly excessive!) wine consumption!

I took my wife out on her birthday. She really enjoyed the food and drinks. Most importantly a staff (Laura) made our time so special with her service and the way she attended our table. Thanks Laura :)) again from both of us 💐💫🎊 and INDU team.

Fresh and flavoursome Indian cuisine? Say what? For those of you who think that Indian food is greasy, heavy and unhealthy, Sam Prince and his team are about to squash that pretty darn quickly with Indian eatery Indu. Found in the basement of the heritage listed building at 350 George Street Indu will give those at the northern end of the city a great taste of Indian cuisine. Inspired by the villages and coastal regions of India’s south, the food here is fresh and won’t bog you down. Best dish: flame-seared tumeric cured salmon, cardamon aioli and pickled fennel
