The food at Jackie's never fails to please. I have taken various friends here for the first time and they have loved it. Delicious and something on the menu to suit all tastes even though it is essentially described as Japnese. The service is outstanding. Our welcome was warm and friendly and one of the waitresses recognised us from our last visit which was very impressive. My only comment is that on a warm evening like the one we were there, it would have been lovely to sit outside . However, the tables in the courtyard are small and the chairs not as comfortable as inside. A few larger tables and chairs outside would be appreciated. Soda water on tap is very common in restaurants these days and i was disappointed that this was not available.
Service was good! Will come back surely for lunch!
Very welcome greeting! Lovely that dogs are welcome! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Beautiful setting! Great, interesting food! Yum! We will be back
Very good food and great service. Reasonable at 50% off but on the pricier side at full price. Lovely outdoor tables.
We went not knowing what quality to expect. We surely wasn't disappointed with the food.
really good place to hang out. What a welcome service that i got from this place. i will definitely come back to try their breakfast as the lady recommended one of their dish :) very friendly service
Nice vibe, good environment and location, food were delicious
Jackies has recently opened for dinner and it is delicious Japanese in a handy location at The Intersection Paddington (Glenmore Road near Oxford Street corner). The tuna cracker is great as is the Japanese omelette, although the latter is quite sweet. Inside is a lovely sandstone room and the staff are exceptionally friendly.
Arrival was a bit disappointing as all staff approached us and were aware of our reservation, however the manager forgot about us, took the family behind us first, and still forgot to seat us for a while. Otherwise the general staff were friendly, although service was slow tonight. Food was nice, however they gave us our mains before our appetizers.
We had mixed sashimi, kingfish carpaccio, seared salmon nigiri and the fish of the day. The entrees portion is small for the set price. Fish of the day dish was too oily. The food taste wasn’t quite there. Luckily we had the half off deal.
Just average, they were very busy however the food that was meant to be hot was was warm and overall service was slow. Tofu dish was the highlight.
I booked this for my daughter and her friend, for her friends birthday gift. They both thought it the food was delicious and very fresh.. they had a very enjoyable experience and They couldn’t stop talking about it.I will go back with my family to try Jackie’s cafe for sure.
Love Jackie’s. Service, food and atmosphere are all consistently great. Would recommend for any occasion.
I liked the courtyard but the chairs are uncomfortable to sit on and the tables too small. The food and wine is nice but in extremely small serves.
Lovely evening at Jackie’s. Service and ambience was perfect and the food was exceptional. Especially loved the whitefish with lemon caper dressing. Will definitely be back!
Terrific food and service in a wonderful setting. We shared sushi to start then chose the crispy prawns and tofu for mains - all were exceptional. Small but great wine list and fun cocktails such as Ginboocha using their home made kombucha. Do yourself a favour and book a table!
Thanks James, we are so happy you enjoyed your evening.
Great restaurant with nice food selection, beautiful flavours. For main meals we took fish of the day and King prawns. The fish was beautiful, served with Full of flavours risotto, the prawns were just a bit too little for the price, but still very tasty. Also recommending sushi, okonomiyaki, gyoza dumplings, home made kimchi.
Exceptional food with great service and setting. We had an evening meal with 6 shared dishes and could not fault any. Do yourself a favour and enjoy.
Food was good and staff were lovely
