We had the beef madras and lamb korma. Both were delicious. Very tender meat. However, naan was just ok. We will try the roti next time. Service was fantastic. We would recommend this restaurant.

Had high expectations from the food as recommended by other but found it average and all of the starter dishes like paneer tikka, vegetable manchurian and mushroom were below par. Main course was average, had better at other restaurants. Everyone dined with us had the same opinion.

About the restaurant

A tasty treasure

Jai Ho Hoppers Crossing is the sister restaurant to the Jai Ho in Richmond Melbourne. A family affair, Chefs Gautam Thapar and Sunita Abbott cook North Indian style food with fresh produce from the Indian Grocer next door. A relatively newcomer to the area, Jai Ho is leaving quite an impression on locals. Known for putting on a fabulous function, from birthdays, weddings to business lunches, Jai Ho’s food is hands down the best Indian in the area. We ordered Bombay Brambles to start the night off, a delicious gin cocktail with feisty lemon and berry flavours. We had the Jai Ho Khaas banquet for two and were very overwhelmed by the flavours. The Butter chicken was the best I had ever tasted.

Best dish: Malai kofta, deep fried potato and cheese balls in gravy, absolutely to die for.
