The food was great and modern and with a fusion twist even the teenage children loved it. Highly recommended and the promo was great value too!

I only have good things to say about this place! Fantastic food, amazing views & great atmosphere. Perfect for a dinner date or catch up amongst friends. I recommend the skews & snapper fish soba!

This is a must visit for the local and tourists. The service is amazing (I forgot the lady that served us but she was exceptional) and the restaurant offers an unobstructed view of the Opera House.

Lovely views and service wonderful. The stand out of the food for me was the lotus chips. However, I have dined at a variety of Japanese restaurants and have had better. That being said its no back street food it is good quality food.

Lovely view with an interesting cocktail menu and asian tapas with a twist. We enjoyed all the plates we sampled, smaller servings means we can try more dishes.

About Junk Lounge at Cruise Bar

There aren’t many restaurants which have as good a view of the Sydney Opera House as Junk Lounge. Walk up to Level 2 of Cruise Bar, the refurbished Overseas Passenger Terminal, and you’ll see Circular Quay in all of its glory. Junk Lounge has a definite Oriental vibe in both look and menu. Inspired by the junk trading ships of Asia, the restaurant has dark timber benches and inviting sunken lounges to accompany its Asian fusion menu. Sip on a Kung Fu Hustle or Sensei Sam cocktail or have a look over the wine list as you take in the harbour views. For food, it’s tapas-style. You can order everything from soft shell crab steamed buns and Malay satay chicken skewers to Nori-wrapped beef and Thai vegetable dumplings. However, it’s the seared sesame tuna dish that takes the spotlight time and time again. Saturday nights have never looked better, whether it’s a girl’s night out or a cosy date for two, and it can all be rounded off with a dance into the early hours downstairs.
