We went to the Kabuki for the experience of a Teppanyaki cooking and the experience of catching the food and atmosphere. It does depend on the cook as other chefs were more engaging with the diners than ours was . The main disappointment for us was that it was all over in an hour so felt a bit rushed .The amount of food provided versus the cost of the meal made us feel that we did not get value for money . Nevertheless we had a good night and would recommend it for a special occasion.

Not enough chefs to serve at teppanyaki tables. One chef had to serve two tables, too slow. Not enough fun activities.

About Kabuki

Irrashai! Part of Brisbane’s Stamford Hotel restaurant selection, Kabuki offers a chance to watch your food cooked right in front of you – guaranteeing it’s fresh from the grill! You can choose from teppanyaki (grilled) meats, seafood or vegetables, or a combination of the three, with a number of set menu options available for either lunch or dinner. Our money’s on the Sakura, which includes local king prawns, jumbo Scallops, Black Angus beef fillet, with a range of accompanying sauces. Cleanse your palate with fresh sliced fruits or green tea ice cream. At dinner, you can choose from the premium Wagyu or deluxe seafood sets – the seafood comes with sushi and sashimi as well as grilled catch of the day. They also have an a la carte menu and a ‘Tiny Tepp’ for the tiny tots. The setting is certainly authentic with bamboo poles, paper lamps and rich red no-ren hanging cloths setting the mood. Best dish: Gyu Misoyaki (Grilled beef fillet medallions with sweet miso sauce)
