Zhoug of green chilli & coriander w prawns, calamari, fish, mussels & mograhbieh cous cous

W winter slaw of shaved cabbage & brussels sprouts, apple & salt roasted pepitas
Lovely service and atmosphere. It was unfortunate there were not many food or drink options for children. Disappointed with the quality of the food. Went to kamel couple of years ago and the food was exceptional. Ordered the chicken skewers and there was not much to a side with it.
Great flavours across all dishes, outdoor set up is great when the weather is good, pretty much an Albert Park institution now.
Delicious and diverse selection of food designed for sharing. Especially loved the scallops, the haloumi chips, the goats cheese, the pork belly and the beef tangine. We had 7 in our group and the restaurant offered to adjust the serves so there were 7 pieces in each dish. The service was fabulous- attentive and efficient balanced with genuine friendliness.
An absolutely lovely find! A warm, cosy and comfortable restaurant with lovely low key service. I will be going back and recommending to others!
Great neighbourhood gem serving consistency quality of food with a smile.
Great food and service.
Second time and and did not disappoint. Great local restaurant, will definitely be back
Consistent quality for years
Very good food. Service is a little bit slow but very friendly. We are coming back for sure
Staff were very friendly and warm. Yet more attention could have been paid to the service. I had a beer to start with and it was empty and stayed next to me right up to when we paid the bill. They ran out and didnt have some things. Being a Saturday night was a shame. No mulled wine, no pork, half serve scallops etc. The drinks list needs some serious attention. From wine offering to spirits to beers etc. I would have spent more if there was better offering. Also, I had to get someone to light the candle on the table, as we were the only couple dining but every other table had a candle.
Food excellent - is a place to share dishes so a group is probably best - and make sure you schedule the delivery to make sure all the courses don't arrive at once! Is a very good restaurant
Good honest local restaurant with interesting cuisine
Wonderful menu and great staff a must visit restaurant
We enjoyed our meal, we did the banquet which was $40pp and good value but it was an old menu that we saw and so the desert of Baklava was not available and the sagnaki was substituted without telling us.
After being a regular diner tonight ends that. Poor service with no checking for drinks, no offer of dessert menu or coffee/tea, significant overcharging and little care when our experience was explained. Disappointing.
Popular local favourite.
Beautiful food on a short menu with plates to share. The Banquet is good value. Excellent service that was attentive and very personal. Good wine list if a bit pricey. Worth a visit - make sure to book.
Really enjoyed my meal at Kamel - we had the banquet (at a very reasonable $40pp). Everything was delicious and we all left very full!
Superb meal(we chose the banquet for 2), awesum service, beautifully relaxed atmosphere, and left feeling fulfilled.
Delicious. Great choice of tasty share dishes.

If you’re sick of tired old trips to pizzerias, pubs and bistros then it’s time you took a journey down to Albert Park’s Kamel. Here you’ll get a feast of Middle Eastern fusion food. Kamel is inspired by the cooking of northern and central Africa, as well as turkey and Greece. The interior of the restaurant is also quite a feast for the eyes too, with moody red walls and stained glass lamp shades. Monkey statues and ornamental shishas give this place a touch of the exotic while the beautiful modern beer garden gives it a contemporary flair. The best way to do Middle Eastern and African, according to the restaurant team, is to choose a banquet menu and let the experts handle the rest. This way, you’ll be treated to a wonderful array of the restaurant’s best offerings – without the bother of trying to pick from so many delicious-looking dishes! Must tries include their saganaki (fried haloumi cheese) and the Moroccan shish kebab. Finally, a bit of some relief from the boring old pizza and pub grub standard!
Best dish: haloumi and oregano crumbed lamb cutlets on baba ganoush
