Not what we expected - very casual clientele. More a bistro than fine dining. I chose the wagyu beef which was delicious but for $75 I expected more than the very small portion of beef I was served. Don't choose it if you're hungry. Menu selection otherwise wasn't expansive or particularly exciting. Wine prices were very reasonable and service was friendly and efficient.
Hi, Thank you so much for your review. I am so delighted that you enjoyed the service during the night and found our wine prices reasonable. We pride ourselves on using the best local ingredients and are so proud to be able to serve Master Kobe to our guests. It's incredibly exclusive as we are currently the only restaurant in Australia where you will find it! Due to the high marble score we serve it as a 200gm portion to allow our diners to enjoy it without being overwhelmed by the high fat content. We usually recommend enjoying an entree or two beforehand if you're after a bigger meal. Thank you again for dining with us, we hope to see you again next time you're in Brisbane.

The cocktail list was not extensive at only three options. We had all the share plate options between 7. Food was good, but nothing that particularly stood out.
Thank you for taking the time to review our little restaurant. I do apologise as my staff should have mentioned that we can also make a variety of basic cocktails that aren't on our list. As the bar is so small we limit the amount that's on the menu to ensure that we always have the ingredients in stock. We hope to see you again when we launch our new Winter Menu

Atmosphere a little odd with cafe tables and clinical white lighting in parts of the room. Good great but don't expect a medium rare steak. Could do more on bread presentation
Thank you for taking the time to review our little restaurant, your feedback is so important to us and I can assure you that we are looking at ways to soften the atmosphere in the restaurant without taking away from the beautiful, heritage-listed house. Please let me know when you book again so I can ensure you that your experience is one that we hope all of our customers can have.

Service is really important and going out is an e experience and the trainee staff member was really bad in every aspect, no people skills whatsoever. Such a shame as the chef seemed quite good. It was not welcoming, fun and she didnt only not know what was on the menu she asked us "I can ask if you want me to"...The menu was really confusing with buns for $5, really bizarre things like a taco or a sausage roll as share plates, then mains. The wine lost was very average as well. The food was cooked really well and was tasty but it wasn't a good dining experience, if I just wanted food in my mouth I could coolk at home. We had the $78 wagyu Kobe experience and the meat was great but the croquettes tasted like paper, no seasoning in them and certainly no bresaola, leave them off the plate if they're so awful.
Hi Anonymous, I'm disappointed that we didn't provide you with the level of service that we expect during your dining experience. Unfortunately, we are training a couple of new staff members and do our best to ensure they are confident with the menu and talking to customers. I've passed your feedback on to the chef and to my staff as well. I apologise for not hitting the mark this time. Please don't hesitate to contact me on 30961622 or email richmont.fbs@mantra.com.au so we can discuss this further and arrange for your next visit to be the Kennigo Experience that our customers have come to know and love.

The Kobe beef was amazing especially when pairing it with a drop of red. Absolutely love the donut with marshmallow and nutella. Service was superb.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the Kobe Beef, we are so privileged to be able to share it with Brisbane and it's been amazing to receive such great feedback The Nutella Donuts are my favourite too! We hope to welcome you back to Kennigo in the near future, thanks again
