Tempura hokkaido scallops stuffed with crab salad and asparagus, on eggplant jam
Good service and the food was very tasty. Good flavours and well seasoned. Meals came out very quickly but didn’t mind as we hungry. Decor in restaurant needs uplift. A bit outdated
We were there celebrating my friends birthday. The waitress overheard us cheering him for his birthday. She organised a small cake and candle for him without us asking. Amazing! The service was above and beyond.
It was a nice restaurant, good setting , the food was very good but small portions for you pay for to be honest. The sashimi you could not get a mix of the salmon , tuna or king fish ( in the 6 piece serve) it was only one or the other which is odd, when we asked why they can’t do it, we were told because of the different price, well it was only $2 differences so I am sure it could be worked out. The thing that left a sour taste in my mouth was when the bill came , there was a credit card surcharge already on it but I was not asked how I was paying as I had cash and there was another surcharge for $8.50 and when I asked the waitress what this for she replied “ for the food” I told her the the price of the food on the menu is for the food and I asked her again what was the surcharge for her very good English became not very good anymore, she scurryed off and quick as a flash came back with another bill with any of the surcharges, so Iam not sure if this was an honest mistake or if they don’t except people to question them unfortunately I have the suspicion it was the latter which was really disappointing.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout our meals. The food was exceptional.
Great service, even threw in 2 soju shots for our anniversary. This place never lets me down.
Fantastic Food, great hospitality & customer service
We loved the food but should have at least one cheaper wine The cheapest one we bought and it was nearly $50 But that was our only option
Very nice ambiance!
The food was exceptional, especially good value at 50% discount. We enjoyed every dish. The service could do with improvement thought.
Very pricey but a safe option if you are a aficionado of Japanese food
We used the 50% voucher, which was a great opportunity to try the expensive items. Tasty and well prepared.
Beautiful little restaurant with river views. Food is well presented and all tasted good and fresh. Staff are smiley and friendly. Service was quite quick as well. We had 50% off so it is a bit pricey (more like $80-$100 pp at normal prices).
Beautiful food! We had the set menu for 2 with matching wine and highly recommend it! Bit pricey ($155 per person) without any food offer but good choice to celebrate a special occasion.
Food was high quality; service was a little slow. Hot stone was not hot enough to properly sear and cook the wagyu beef.
Whilst well presented and fresh, not my kind of Japanese as too many sauces. A great sashimi platter however very expensive at full price. Also, going on an early Friday night the music was like we were at a rave - not very conducive to dinner conversation and the staff seemed harassed.
Food are fresh and delicious. I booked it with 50% food discount via the fork so it is cheap with what I normally paid for Japanese good, but even with 50% the food quality is still high in standard so worth to return again but I won’t order dessert again as dessert not that nice
We had the 50% off dimmi special. The atmosphere is always nice. Kobe has a good spot along the Yarra River. We all enjoyed the food. Service was quick and friendly.
Good food but expensive. Nice variety but small serving size. Service was good as well, polite and efficient.
With the 50% off from The Fork deal, this place was a BARGAIN....the food is absolutely amazing, some of the freshest and best sashimi I’ve had! The NIKKO banquet was just delicious-we were absolutely full afterwards!
Fab food and good size. I’m v full towards last 3 courses

THE KOBE JONES PHILOSOPHY
Food is a staple of life and at Kobe Jones we live by the philosophy that food should be easy to eat and always
shared with friends and family.
Kobe Jones’s food is designed to bring the simplicity and beauty of Japanese cooking and meld it with nuances
and surprising flavours of the west. Our chefs have created an array of flavours to suit every palate–for the first timer to the most adventurous diner.
We are often asked where our name comes from....well, Kobe is an ancient fishing village in Japan and Kobe
beef is world famous, so Kobe was chosen as part of our name to represent the best of the Japanese food ethic
epitomised by freshness and quality. Jones is a typical western name which represents the western influence and flavours in our dishes.
