The main dish is overrated but the dessert is very nice. The atmosphere is really good as well.

Great spot over the water, can get hot on the balcony during the summer though! Food is delicious, the scampi was the best dish of the night.

Service was not always alert of what we needed, or took long and didn't explain some dishes were going to take a long time before coming (so we were all waiting and food getting cold and just 3 of us out of 5 eating). Promo wasn't considered until we asked. Toilets were not in the best state possible.

We came here with the half price dining and it was still $100+. Portions were well sized though.

About the restaurant

Beauty of Japanese cooking

The philosophy behind Kobe Jones is simple; food is a staple of life, it should be easy to eat and always shared with friends and family. At Kobe Jones, the food is designed to bring the simplicity and beauty of Japanese cooking and meld it with nuances and surprising flavours of the west. Fusing Eastern spices with elegant simplicity, Kobe Jones is Japanese with a twist. Situated in King Street Wharf, the restaurant provides uninterrupted views of stunning Darling Harbour. Decor is elegant and uncluttered, creating the perfect environment to share a meal with that special someone or friends. The food philosophy is epitomised by freshness and quality, and the menu is split into sections: rolls, tobanyaki, signature dishes, small plates, large plates, tempura, hot rocks, sushi and sashimi and desserts. It’s all about ‘graze dining’ here, so choose a few dishes from different sections to get the entire Kobe Jones dining experience. Just like the food, the Kobe Jones bar shines too, with a stellar reputation for outstanding cocktails and a sensational selection of sake.

Best dish: All you can eat sushi ($29.50) lunch time special.
