Host/Greeter rude and disinterested - waitstaff service mediocre and inattentive- such a shame when restaurant staff assume you’re a tourist instead of a local here on the Gold Coast - no repeat business from us!

Good food, good value. We come back every year and bring clients for quick breakfasts while at our conference.

KOI is always a great place to eat. We had lunch. Mid week is always not as busy as the weekends. Great food.

Koi always seems to be busy so obviously it's quite popular. The service was prompt when we first arrived but then it became a bit 'hit & miss' due to the number of patrons. We waited quite a long time for our main courses which became a bit frustrating. To start we had the bread with balsamic & olive oil, which was very nice and fresh. I had the sandcrab lasagna which was delicious & I would definitely recommend it. My son had the half rack of ribs which he was happy with, however my husband had the gnocchi with blue cheese sauce & the gnocchi was slightly chewy and the sauce too rich. Not sure if the gnocchi was frozen or made on the premises, due to the texture. The atmosphere at Koi is good and it always seems to be buzzing at night. They have live music on Tuesday nights and Sundays, which is always a drawcard for locals and visitors to the area. We were a bit horrified at the prices of the steaks - over $40 without any fries, salad or vegetables. An eye fillet steak with a side of fries would've cost over $50 which is far too expensive for this venue in my opinion. Overall I would definitely go back to Koi for its location and vibe, and we were quite happy with our dining experience there. It seems to be one of the more popular restaurants in the Broadbeach area.

About Koi Dining Lounge Bar

Not much beats alfresco dining except, perhaps, if you’re right near the beach. Koi Dining & Lounge Bar is in Broadbeach, Queensland, to be exact, and the views are only the start of what’s right with this venue. This bustling Gold Coast destination opens early and shuts late, seeing you through from breakfast to post-dinner cocktails. The bar is sleek and strategically lit, the wood dark and the outdoor seating area has plenty of tables, which increases the chance of you being able to dine with oceanside views. Come evening, the music is blasting and the crowd is partying – Koi is especially famous for its Sunday sessions – so big parties or groups of people looking to have a good time flock here. Food ranges from grilled halloumi and Spanish croquettes to sashimi and pork belly – there’s definitely a wide range of choices, many of which are Australian favourites. Tempting poke bowls are up for grabs, burgers are served until 4pm and grilled steaks and pasta dishes are as popular as each other. All the more to line your stomach with before the sun sets.
