My favourite Japanese restaurant in Melbourne. Teriyaki Patagonian toothfish is a must try. Wasabi lobster tail is no longer on menu but they still serve this popular dish. I like to bring my overseas friends & clients here for their friendly hospitality too.

I booked through Fork and there was nowhere on the site when booking to ask for teppanyaki. They managed to squeeze us on the end of a table. Not enough staff sloppy service

Food was either too salty or the sauces were too sweet. We requested for our beef to be medium rare but it came out as medium to well done. The service was none existent and the wait staff did not bother to clear our empty dishes or refill our glasses. Will not return for the service we received.

Slow service even though we paid extra public holiday surcharge but service was way below average. waited 30mins left unattended after we finish our meal but the meal bill never arrive until we have to go over counter to prompt for the bill. The cashier did not advise on using crown rewards card when we pay the bill. Very disappointed for their service overall.

Sashimi of the day is average level. And the most disappointing part is that the main course (M7 mayura beef) is overcooked and so hard to chew. But the view is good.

I enjoyed the selection of food offered, and the chef was very skilled and friendly. In fact all the staff could not be faulted. I shall return again for another special occasion meal.

We booked this place for our 1 year anniversary and enjoyed the food and view but the service was disappointing. We ended up getting our sashimi last after having our entrees and mains. It felt like we were being rushed to make way for the next round of seatings even though we had plenty of time in our 2 hour session.

I had been here a couple of times & they used to have really good value lunch banquets. I had the $50 weekday set lunch this time and was a little bit disappointed with the quality of the food. I had a few sashimi pieces which were chewy and the stew wagyu beef was not tender. Service was ok. The lady who looked after our table was efficient & friendly enough but ... probably because we experienced really good traditional courteous Japanese style service at this restaurant before (and that’s why we had recommended a lot of our friends to this restaurant in the past), we were a little bit surprised of the casual style service we had this time. Anyway, still love the views from the restaurant, if you do get a window seating.
