Adrian Richardson's focus is on good produce, handled with care. When Adrian is not at La Luna or Bouvier he can be seen on Good Chef Bad Chef, Secret Meat Business & Richo's bar snacks.

Everything was in tune from the moment we arrived. Warwick looked after us with informative details of the meals and wines on offer, and kept the afternoon light and enjoyable. Nice selection of different wines (where the knowledge of the staff was appreciated) and then the outstanding tastes and diversity of the food. We had the Chef's tasting and enjoyed 5 delightful, unique courses. A fun, relaxed afternoon - could have stayed for hours.

Service was fantastic as always, the staff are highly knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and the restaurant always seems to have great specials that we will usually try! Fantastic food in a warm and intimate atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back again.

Food was excellent as ever, staff were very friendly and helpful, the only thing I would say is that the dining area downstairs is perhaps a little too cosy for my liking, I know the last time we came here the back of my chair was touching the the chair of the diner behind me. That aside, we love coming here and will definitely keep coming back!

About La Luna Bistro

A Meat Master At this rustic-chic corner shop front restaurant, it’s all about meat. Chef and hands-on meat man Adrian Richardson's easygoing ways and nose-to-tail food philosophy are always on show at this much loved, long standing restaurant in Rathdown Village. Highly regarded for the quality of the house-aged beef, Richardson also offers a number of other tasty meats, many of which are hand made. From crackling wrapped pork, to generous lamb shoulders and house-made cotechino sausage, it’s clear Richardson has a real meaty skill. This lofty-ceilinged space with bentwood chairs and fence-wire chandeliers is a charming neighbourhood gem that’s perfect for a meat feast. Just don’t bring your vegetarian friends along. We’re not so sure they’ll approve. Best dish: dry-aged, on-the-bone rib-eye
