as usual, it did not disappoint. the four of us all enjoyed the meals we chose.. and choosing was difficult. Apparently the seafood pie is the go to dish

My colleague and I are regular Diners and La Saveur is everything we like in a French Style Cafe comfortable ambience, good menu selections ,excellent food and exceptional service . But of course being a regular my review is somewhat biased but of course my frequency is determined by the consistency of this excellent establishment .

My second visit to this neighbourhood French bistro. Great classic french dishes, not too expensive and bonus BYO wine. Nice service as well. Highly recommended and I am sure that I will be back.

Non authentic French food is so insulting. Don’t call it a tartiflet without Reblochon. Don’t call it a cassoulet that has a few pieces of duck? thrown in. And a bouillabaisse should be extravagant, not tiny. We didn’t even bother with dessert because we were so disappointed. Back to French school Mr Chef, otherwise don’t call it French cuisine because it failed to deliver. (And yes I have lived and been a chef in France)

A great menu with great food and service We eat here a few times a year as we are not local but the 40 min drive is worth it Not so many French restaurants in Sydney but this is one of the best

My new favourite restaurant!! Disappointed I haven’t discovered it before. Fabulous “French” menu, a return to everything good about the 80’s. Will certainly return!

The food was ok, but I love French cuisine, so definitely I will go back again to try different dishes. The service was ok too, and the staff were friendly. It feels like a small French home cooking place; I love the ambience.

Wonderful service! Although we had a reservation and had confirmed the day before, when arrived they were very busy and didn't have enough to tables. The head waitress apologised, explained the situation and offered to call when a table became available. A bit disappointed, we went across the road to The Lodge and settled on a cosy sofa for a drink. We were enjoying our cocktails when I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was was the lady from La Saveur to tell us our table was ready. From there everything went smoothly. Nice food and attentive, friendly service made for a lovely night out. Only complaint: the desserts were a bit ordinary.

Service was a bit slow, got a feeling that some people in a kitchen were missing that day. Food was amazing as always, since it’s a French restaurant it would be great to have a waiter who speaks French ☺️

Enjoyed a memorable Birthday Celebration Lunch with a party of 10. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was in agreement that James’ efforts in the kitchen were great. One tiny suggestion would be to substitute Paris Mash for the roast potatoes in a couple of the rustic dishes.. Great welcome; lovely service charming food and BYO

We really enjoyed this classic French restaurant with its classic French menu. Especially good as it's BYO wine. Lovely food, nice service and great value for money. It was our second visit in 2 months and we will go again.

Arrived at 7:30 pm. Food expected to arrive at 9pm. Even though we heard it was great food we ended up walking. I’m sure on a not so busy evening the experience may have been different. COVID has not helped either. Will revisit in a few weeks when normality hopefully returns.

Awesome food. Fresh and lovely tastes .No fuss French bistro classics. Went with 7 - 5 of whom eat out a lot and at really top end restaurants.Everyone loved their meal.We had the duck, Bouillabaisse ,cassoulet, lobster, crepes and pate. Mussels and Provencal fish pie (special of the day ) all terrific .Lovely friendly service. And awesome that it was BYO as greedy Council charges parking per hour on Sundays .Meant we felt we could spend a bit more on entrees and desserts as weren't paying for a few bottles of wine as well.We will absolutely be back to try all the other things on the menu. Oh and not massive menu which is in MHO a good sign that they do less things but better.Certainly enough there to keep coming back many times

Wonderful little gem, can't wait to return. I had the chicken and it was the best. My son also had the same and loved it and that is saying a lot for a 13 year old.

Upon arrival at La Saveur, after having read reviews and seen images of the meals online, I was a little surprised at our simple the venue was. Everything was perfectly clean, and the wait staff were wonderful, though the only suggestion I would make is that they invest in white linen tablecloths. The food...... magnificent !!! I can't wait to take my husband there, and then some friends. This is one of the "unassuming places to go for top shelf french food". Hats off to the chef. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Helen and Carolyn

This is a great little neighbour gem. The French cuisine is true to origin and delight to eat. The BYO for wine and beer adds great value. The seafood is particularly well done. The only down side is that being a little space the noise level is high when the place is full. Having been on weekdays as well as weekends if you need quiet I'd suggest midweek.

The cassoulet served tonight was superb and the vegetables served with it, delicious. It is a while since I enjoyed such cleverly crafted food. I also love that the restaurant is BYO.

The service was fantastic and the food was exceptional. We felt welcome and the staff were not trying to hurry anybody. Try the baked camembert, spatchcock or cherry duck! The coffee was also really nice.
