Mangiare e felicita (Eating is Happiness!) La Svolta is translated as ‘Turning Point; and is exactly the ideal result sought after by owners and Italian natives Valerio Calabro and Giuseppe Russo who had a goal to bring everything Italian to their new home. All their recipes are passed down from family members, and the simple menu is characterised by its famous pizza. One of only a few pizzeria’s in Australia that is accredited by the official association in Naples, they make their pizza the real way. It’s a force to be reckoned with. Their fun and funky dining area houses a lot of blackboards, which showcase the food specials and availability of dishes of the day. Other plates alongside their famous pizzas include home-made pastas such as rigatoni al ragu, or their home-made tagliatelle with prawns, garlic, chilli and broccoli. Beautiful fresh salads and breads also feature and the food is something that locals and regulars swear by. Treat yourself! Best dish: Gnocchi alla Sorrentina.
