As always, my family and I enjoyed our meal at La Svolta. I discovered that my favourite pasta dish was no longer on the menu, but noted that some new and tasty additions had been included. I look forward to trying them all.

Staff were friendly & welcoming. Entree & pizza main was good! Sadly pasta main was undercooked - very hard pasta/inside was white/not cooked.

Good, even high, standard food and service. Enjoy coming here. Introduced some friends to La Svolta and they really enjoyed it too. Will be back again soon.

Overcrowded and noisy. Had a booking yet was made to wait at the bar for a table. Staff have to push their way between guests as there is hardly any room between the tables. Food is good.

Busy venue but service and food was good. Well worth a visit be it for a family or a couple. We have eaten here before before the name change. It remains consistent in character.

They didn’t have a record of our booking made via the fork!! Some of our plates were dirty with old food on them.

Great food, great service and lovely Italian accents of the service staff.....dessert was heavenly. Very busy Monday night, not a spare table to be seen. A little loud at times, but generally a good vibe. Would recommend to all.

About the restaurant

Mangiare e felicita (Eating is Happiness!)

La Svolta is translated as ‘Turning Point; and is exactly the ideal result sought after by owners and Italian natives Valerio Calabro and Giuseppe Russo who had a goal to bring everything Italian to their new home. All their recipes are passed down from family members, and the simple menu is characterised by its famous pizza. One of only a few pizzeria’s in Australia that is accredited by the official association in Naples, they make their pizza the real way. It’s a force to be reckoned with. Their fun and funky dining area houses a lot of blackboards, which showcase the food specials and availability of dishes of the day. Other plates alongside their famous pizzas include home-made pastas such as rigatoni al ragu, or their home-made tagliatelle with prawns, garlic, chilli and broccoli. Beautiful fresh salads and breads also feature and the food is something that locals and regulars swear by. Treat yourself!

Best dish: Gnocchi alla Sorrentina.
