Ladybird Restaurant & Bar

This restaurant was recommended & I understand why. The food was excellent. We shared the whole fish which was cooked perfectly. The bao bug buns were also very tasty. It’s also a great location, overlooking the Marina. The wine list is a little limited, with not a great knowledge of the wines but the service was very friendly & attentive. They even let us try a wine with no pressure to have the whole bottle as they didn’t know anything about it! Overall very good value for money & I would highly recommend!

This restaurant has a fantastically appointed decor and great ambience. The dreamy location will be perfect night out. Overlooking the marina watching the sunset over the broad water is breathtaking. We had a scallop entrée nicely presented in perfectly cooked. Also also ordered pork belly which was presented Deep-fried cubed with shallots and chili. Some of the pieces were literally just belly and missing the pork, but I didn’t mind as I know where are the tasty pieces come from. I ordered the signature dish Lady Bird Bolognese and my partner ordered a perfectly cooked steak. I could only recommend this dish to somebody who is really really hungry and don’t have a fine pallet. Magine an udon noodles with big chunks of pulled pork with an uninspiring Bolognese sauce. I personally wouldn’t put the restaurant name with this dish. For dessert we ordered the Penecota. This Roasted sesame‘s in the flower petalled Penecota with a well balanced sorbe was an incredible combination and a great delight to finish on. I will definitely return and try out other dishes but this restaurant is far from a rating 10 as I’ve seen it in the ratings.. I will give it 8.9 and if I remove the signature dish from the rating it should be 9.4.

Such a great restaurant. Fabulous service and a terrific vegan menu ????. The view was lovely for a sunset dinner. The prices and seeing sizes were excellent.

We love this restaurant! Used to go when it was in hope island and it’s still amazing! Food was really good, restaurant was lovely and staff were friendly. Was so nice to have the Scottish girl (I think her name was Jen) serve us and finding out we were from the same town in Scotland! Also having someone that actually understood us :) she kept checking on us and keeping us updated with everything. Will definatley be back again now we know where it has moved to :)

The food was really interesting and different to any restaurant I’ve previously been to. Really fantastic flavours achieved delicately. The share entrees are a great way to start and my Atlantic salmon main was simply scrumptious. Staff were attentive without being over bearing.

we enjoyed the drinks, meal and sevice (thank you Cori for looking after us) it was hard to choose as it sound all delicious- thank you for the wonderful night we will be back.

Lovely restaurant with fantastic service from Jen from Glasgow. As the restaurant becomes more well know it will become more popular. A big improvement on the restaurant’s who have been at this site previously.

Excellent service and a delicious array of food and drinks !

Unfortunately this time the food was so average. My pasta ink spaghetti was so garlicky I could not even taste the ink pasta or chilli, and my partner had a steak which was so so dry! Our last meal was delicious and we felt let down this time. Service and drinks were great!

Beautiful food! We started with the hot tasting plate of oysters, then shared the prawn main and the Bolognese - both were amazing!

Great setting, staff were excellent and food was very good and well priced for setting and experience.

The food was excellent with many GF options. Our waiter Joe was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. When we mentioned that one of the waitresses had taken away the ice bucket with our mineral water which wasn’t yet empty, he quickly retrieved it and got us another one for the wine.

Every dish we had was excellent - well presented and flavoursome! The Crème Brûlée was perfect.

Love this restaurant- great location. Can sit outside undercover looking at beautiful boats and water views (and can bring a well behaved dog on lead). Fabulous food, well priced drinks - great own name beer! Service was excellent- this is a really great addition to Main Beach. We have now been 4 times and it remains consistently better than good. I have dined at Ladybird restaurant 6 times always a fantastic expereance. POSITION overlooks broad water canals, staff helpful and couterous, lovely tablecloths of black and white. makes you feel important people to management. The range of menu fantastic and food great. have their own Ladybird lager plus wines range good . you must go to really enjoy the moments.

Lovely atmosphere and fresh and varied menu

We found Ladybird by chance and after looking at reviews we decided to give it a go, we’re really glad we did! It’s in a lovely spot overlooking the water, the atmosphere was light and relaxing, the food amazing! The service was great along with everything else, we would definitely go again!

Excellent service an amazing meal. Cocktails and oysters a must. Yummo ????
