Treat your palate It’s Head Chef Marcus Turner’s ethos of ‘from the gate or the trawler to the plate’ that keeps us coming back to Lamberts Restaurant at The Point Brisbane Hotel in Kangaroo Point. With one of Brisbane’s most innovative menus, Lamberts delivers excellent Modern Australian cuisine in a contemporary, relaxed setting. There’s nothing relaxed about the service though, which is friendly but knowledgeable and professional. We love to order one of the prime cuts from the grill because the accompaniments are just as delicious as the beef. Think truffled gnocchi Parisienne and Kipfler potato and chorizo salad. That’s if we’re not won over by the house-made fettuccine marinara or the harissa spatchcock with Israeli couscous. While we love visiting at night so we can enjoy one of the bar’s signature cocktails with a dozen oysters natural with tequila and lime granita,it’s just as lovely during the day when you can enjoy the view of the hotel pool and gardens. Best dish: harissa spatchcock
