Beautiful new restaurant food was delicious and tasty. Service was great and friendly. Would recommend couples or families. We had lunch was nice and relaxing.
Parking was a problem and I was disappointed not to get a response to a phone message that I left with the restaurant asking for advice about parking availability
Fabulous food and great service however the new restaurant design was a bit drab and it was very noisy. Also, we drove there and nowhere was there a sign about restaurant parking and nowhere close to park.
Lovely service and decor, though I do miss the old decor of Lanterne Rooms. The kampung style beef rending was particularly delightful, so was the Kaya jam dessert.
Service was excellent and individual preferences were accommodated by swapping some dishes with alternatives. Very flexible-nothing was too much trouble. The food as always was superb! The new venue is fresh and right on trend. We’ll be back!
Despite construction continuing around the site the service was as professional and welcoming as expected from this group of restaurants and the presentation and flavours of the dishes was just as we wanted. Overall, a very good experience.
Not bad considering it was the ‘soft’ opening night at new venue
Good service, especially for a soft opening of new venue.
Fabulous as always. Thank you so much
A fabulous experience as always. Can’t wait to see the new space!
Wonderful evening that made our celebration even more special. Great service and now our favourite of the three establishments by the Chairman group. Can't wait to visit again at the new location.
We had the Winter banquet so it was a bit pricier but absolutely worth it. Food was elegantly showcased and the way the banquet was put together was thoughtfully done with a beautiful balance of flavours. I was hesitant before arriving, never having been there before or knew anyone else who had but I’m so glad we tried it. The waiters were attentive without crowding us throughout the night. The ambience was soft lighting and intimate, which is impressive since it’s part of the Campbell shops, they’ve done well to hide that so you don’t see it or feel that once your inside & seated. I look forward to returning & trying their new venue soon.
As always, wonderful.
Great menu and fantastic staff
As a Malaysian myself, it is a very pleasant experience to have such innovative Southeast Asian dishes. Waiters were really lovely and accommodating too.
Simply superb - I look forward to its new location in a month or two.
Very good dinner - we had the winter menu- small dishes and beef were highlights
Fantastic service and engagement with our host
Best place to eat in Canberra
Fantastic place for work lunches as well as romantic dinners.
ISKIA, 81 Constitution Ave, 2612, Campbell, Australia
One of Canberra's best kept secrets. Lanterne Rooms is tucked away at Campbell shops, offering A-ma style Nyonya Malay cuisine with a twist.
The dining room is dark and intimate, making it ideal for couples, and the share style menu makes it great for groups too! The dishes change regularly but in our opinion the seafood items are the real highlight - think fresh XO scallops with mango salsa & sesame leave or steamed mussels with spicy coconut broth.
Come and sample this Canberra institution, you won't regret it!
Best dish: Soton Satay - marinated chilli squit with rojak
