The interiors are really naff and could do with some updating from an interior designer but the food is otherwise tasty and v good value even at fill price.

First time eating at a restaurant in Rockdale. 1. The waitress had never heard of Dimmi and had to call someone to check what it is. This took about 5 minutes of us waiting. The tables weren’t set up to accommodate our size, and so before the cutlery came out, the entrees had arrived. We had waited quite a bit and informed them we needed cutlery. 2. The tables were dirty - you could see left over chilli flakes smudged on the table and other dirty food leftovers smeared on the table. 3. Took ages for food to come out 4. The food itself was not bad 5. Service was hard, with only one person really manning the floor, it makes it difficult 6. This restaurant had great reviews on google and menulog hence we chose to come, but boy it was definitely not a place I’d go to again.

Chicken Tikka, naan and momo were amazing. The fish korma and aloo saag could have had more spices, but portions were generous. Will come and have a go at your other dishes soon. Clean and quick service. Excellent value for money.

We enjoyed our mixed platter entree, then goat curry, goat korma, roti chapati, plain naans, with the dimmi 30% off offer it worked out to be 39.90 for two of us!! Good atmosphere - we stayed for few hours!

Great food but the service is lacking. Restaurant was mostly empty and dishes were not cleared from tables. Not offered dessert menu (waitress on her mobile at the front desk, had to get menu myself after waiting 10 minutes).

About Last Bus To Kathmandu

Tibetan Joyride This groovy little Nepalese eatery sits just near the crossroads where Princes Highway meets Bay Street and The Seven Ways. Stepping inside you will find a stylish contemporary decor with rich red walls and comfortable modern seating. The menu begins with that classic Himalayan staple, the Steamed Pork Momo. From there the Nepalese classics just keep on coming. One of the most popular dishes in the Himalayas is Chicken Thukpa, a warm, rich chicken broth with noodles. The menu also offers a pork and a vegetarian Thukpa. The menu also includes dishes from Bhutan such as the Bhutan Chiura Set, which offers you the exciting prospect of fried goat’s inside goods served with rice flakes and potato pickle. You will also find a "Choyela Set" on the menu. Choyela is a popular dish in Kathmandu. It’s a spicy grilled meat dish, usually made with "buff" which is the meat of the water buffalo. In the absence of water buffalo, Last Bus to Kathmandu offers you pork, chicken or goat Choyela. Best dish: Goat Biryani.
