Food was excellent; Service outstanding. A warm friendly welcome followed by fantastic food backed up by enthusiastic staff makes Le Bouchon a must place to visit.

Quite nice French restaurant. Nice friendly service. Steak Frites was not very good. Quality of the cut of meat was quite low, steak was a bit chewy with fatty parts. Had the chicken Maryland confit which was quite good. Fries were nice, menu a bit on the expensive side

This neighbourhood gem is so reliable and never disappoints. Guests enjoyed the lemon sole (caution the bones) and duck cassoulet , partnered with a Barossa Shiraz from the private cellar. Service typically; delightfully French without the attitude. Tre bien!
Dear Rachael, Thank you very much for your great rating and comment. Looking forward to see you again soon. Julien

Very enjoyable great French food as always and our French waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Perhaps a few more options of wine by the glass would have been nice.

Great French Bistro in the heart of Crows Nest with traditional bistro service minus the French attitude. Guests enjoyed crusted barramundi (totally recommend) with a Burgundy Pinot from a private cellar. We will return and Merci!

About Le Bouchon

The French touch. For some real French, Michelin-worthy meals look no further than Le Bouchon in Crows Nest. Rather than the regular Parisian-style cafes, Le Bouchon focuses on another French region: Lyon, the gastronomic capital of the world. ‘Bouchon’ has a double meaning in French; not only does it mean ‘cork’, but it also the name used to describe authentic Lyonnaise brasseries, famous for serving up some rather unusual specialities. The menu at Le Bouchon is strongly rooted in French tradition and possibly not so much for vegetarians... Think sautéed lamb kidneys, pan-fried black pudding, calves liver and pomme puree, twice-cooked lamb neck and cassoulet of confit duck leg. Le Bouchon does a roaring trade throughout the day, with breakfast, lunch and pre-dinner aperitif offerings. While the food may be French, the service is anything but – here, you’ll only be greeted by smiles! Best dish: Twice cooked lamb neck, zucchini and eggplant millefeuille and anchovy beurre blanc.
