Great food spoiled by pretty average service. Food brought out in the wrong order; waiter with BO and then had to pay in cash because the card reader was down. All things that could easily be fixed though,

This is not a fancy, schmancy place at all... it's in a hotel for starters. However the food is not only excellent, but it is also very reasonably priced. French cuisine in a sort of cafe atmosphere. At least the muted music was a Parisienne. Glad to have found this little gem on Pitt Street.

Great all rounder. Much better value than other similar quality places on the Martin Place - Wynyard precinct. Food is carefully prepared from fresh ingredients. A great range from fancy to casual options including veg and GF. Highly recommended.

They misplaced my booking which I placed over a month in advance. We were dedicated the high bench tables which were ok but not ideal, as they had other tables booked. But when we arrived there was a section our group could of sat at that was not reserved. So went in with low expectations but I could not fault the food. Our group loved everything we had. Everything on the menu seemed delicious but we did leave wondering how french it all really was.

It was probably a one off but there was a lot of noise coming from downstairs in the bar/coffee shop. that took away the ambience of the restaurant. Otherwise very enjoyable and excellent value

I enjoyed this place last time I went there with my friends a few years ago. However, this time, we were slightly disappointed with the food.

We arrived and the dining room was quiet and void of any atmosphere. The dining setting wasn't particularly impressive. We could have easily mistaken it for a a cafe rather than a restaurant. The food had some potential but lacked polish. I had the beef tartare which was fresh, but it really lacked season. I also had the three meats plate which was cooked to perfection, but was a bit plain and boring. Creme brulee for dessert was delicious but was served with some crumbs and strawberries. This restaurant has some potential, with some fine technique being shown, but is a bit disjointed with its execution. No atmosphere and plain food.

Very good French food which is reasonably priced. Good ambience n able to hear each other talking (unlike some places you have to shout over).

All the food ordered was amazing. The crispy pork share main was especially delicious. Was very quiet with only a few tables.

Great food! Ordered wagyu tartare - dishes will be better if eggs served warm.

About the restaurant

The product, the cooking, the seasoning...

Unpretentious, straightforward, Le Petit Flot doesn't try to be anything other than what it is - a simple rustic French restaurant, with nuances of Japanese influence in a "je ne sais quoi" manner.

Nestled in the heart of the Sydney CBD, diners can enjoy rustic entrées and sharing mains in a welcoming and casual setting. The decor is reminiscent of old an French farmhouse with muted copper tones, dark wood, wrought iron lanterns and large brass top communal tables - it's simply charming!

The team here are passionate about keeping it real and they're producing straightforward, honest food that is a true pleasure to eat.

Best dish: Amaebi Sweet Prawn Cold Angel Hair Pasta.
