The service at this Restaurant was prompt and friendly. Had a lovely positioned table overlooking the golf course. The wine list was extensive with a good proportion of local wines starting from $35-$40 per bottle for white wine. Entrees of baked oysters and sang soy chow made with soft shell crab were superb. Both of us ordered Cape Grim scotch fillet asking for it to be done medium. One steak was medium, the other was medium rare at best. Mushroom sauce lacked a bit of body. Total cost for 2 course dinner for two with wine was $200, with steak mains around $45-$48 and entrees around $25. Restaurant has lovely interior decor and ambience. Would visit again. Very convenient if you are staying at Grand Mercure apartments - within short walking distance.

My husband and I were staying at the hotel for our honeymoon. The staff welcomed us and congratulated us on arrival, we also received a complimentary glass of sparkling. The restaurant had arranged a special table with some decorations on it. We decided to have 3 courses and asked to have matched wine with each course. The food was incredible, great value and delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly but the highlight dishes for the night was the scallops entree and the coconut pannacotta. All up we had a terrific night

Fantastic restaurant for a great steak and wine. Variety of meats and wines to choose from. The quality and quantity of meals are perfect. The dessert menu looked amazing but unfortunately I was full after my steak so didn't get a chance to try them! The service was very welcoming and attentive. Somewhere we would like to return to on our next trip to the Hunter Valley.

We've visited The Vintage from time to time since it opened over 10 years ago. Sadly, its been going from bad to worse during this time, getting further away from what it promised to be in the early days. Our dining experience yesterday was nothing short of a disaster. Where to start? Horrible lack of service, 20 mins to take our order. A further 60 minutes waiting on the most below par food. To top it off, bringing out our drinks with perspiration showing how long it was sitting at the bar, warm and undrinkable. We usually like to say something positive, but nothing to add I'm afraid, and there are many other great restaurants to dine at, including Amanda's, Bimbadgen, Muse and EXP and Enzo to name a few. Stay away from this place until they (hopefully) get their act together.
