How much is a meal really worth? You decide. A restaurant that allows you to pay what you can afford or what you think the food is worth sounds like a strange concept, but it’s one that works for vegetarian restaurant Lentil as Anything. So much so that the venue continues to expand with restaurants scattered around Melbourne and Sydney. This non-for-profit restaurant was established to help the lives of migrants and refugees with all profits going towards programs which help to acclimatise and establish a life for those who have fled or moved to Australia. Thankfully for owner Shanaka Fernado her Indian and Sri-Lankan based dishes are delicious and very generous which means customers are more than willing to pay their way, generously, in most cases. Popular with the uni and student crowds during the week and all walks of life on the weekends, this is a great place to come for a feed, while also doing something good for the community in the process. Eat up - and pay up. Don’t be a stinge.
