Fantastic overall dining experience. We had the veal and the bouillabaisse for main. Stew was fantastic and very hearty. Drinks were great. Excellent service. Great dessert - we had the flaming creme brulee. Cant wait to return.

Enjoyable evening with great food and service. However restaurant did not have our booking on their list. Copy of The Fork confirmation proved the booking arrangements.

New front of house staff since last visit are enthusiastic. Food remains good solid French cooking. A disappointing change to the menus was the duck liver parfait. Not as well presented and accompanied as perviously. I know, a small criticism....:)

Wonderful French menu, the bouillabaisse was 10/10 perfectly cooked seafood. Loved the service, no trouble for anything. The carafe of Rose was excellent. Loved the butter also, will be back.

About Les Bistronomes

Parisian chic Bringing a touch of Paris to Canberra is Les Bistronomes. The interior is simple with dark carpet, exposed brick walls, bare tables, a banquette down on side and red-striped chairs. Outside is a great big alfresco dining area surrounded by plants and herbs - a perfect little sanctuary for outdoor dining during spring/summer. The French bistro has a concise menu with entrees, mains, desserts and sides with classics like garlic snails, pork loin and duck a la orange making an appearance. It’s good food that’s been loved for generations, with a sprinkle of modern day finesse. With French wait staff manning the floor, this is the closest you'll get to a real Parisian experience on Aussie soil. Best dish: Ratatouille Pithivier served with basil pistou & fine herbs salad
