We knew this restaurant from its past excellent reputation in Braddon. We think the move to Campbell was a good one. With easier parking you can take your time to enjoy the very special food and service. We were a party of four and selected various items from the main dishes and desserts, all top quality. The passionfruit souffle is a specialty not to miss. Bravo to the owner and chefs. Wine a tad expensive but the one we chose was very good.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and very personable service. The chief and staff engage with customers ensuring everything is to our satisfaction. Most enjoyable evening.
New premises are excellent (at least now parking is easy), staff friendly and efficient, and food very, very good.
Every single food item I tried was amazing specially the lamb rump. The atmosphere is also very suitable for a French restaurant. Finally the service is very good. Really friendly staff and management. I can’t wait to go again
Wonderful food and service whilst a little pricey it was money well spent
Super friendly staff with a great sense of humour. The chef came out and explained the details of each dish. There was so much intricacy with the way all flavours worked together. The chef told us his story of how he became a chef from his days in Paris to Australia. Very hard work building his career.
What a charming restaurant set in the Campbell suburb in Canberra. It oozed charm and a french ambiance the minute you walked through the door with french rustic architecture and decor. We were greeted by the pleasant welcoming, yet not over the top, waiter and this pleasantness continued with the other staff throughout the meal. We chose the 7 course dégustation which was absolutely sublime. The balance of flavours with each dish was "to die for", the infusion of different spices at times would explode in your mouth. The space between each course was just right allowing us to savour the course we had just consumed and have time to have a chat before the next course arrived. Despite being busy as the restaurant most 75% full the waiters made time to chat to us. We were celebrating a special occasion and I was delighted that we had chosen this restaurant as I was not familiar with the place nor any prior knowledge of their quality other than the reviews on "The Fork". Well done Les Bistronomes, you have our vote and we will come again and indulge. Bryan Butler, Gordon ACT
The food was really good. The staff was very friendly and explained the detail of each dish. I felt really enjoyed and would love to come back again.
Beautifully presented delicious meals with perfect service. It was an enjoyable way to celebrate my Husband's birthday which he enjoyed very much.
This restaurant was well worth it. Great friendly staff. It was a celebration of a birthday and a 34th wedding anniversary, we were treated with respect, even after all my questions. And all dishes were top quality.
The food and service was divine- could not have been better. A slightly casual setting but don’t let that put you off. There is detail and quality in everything they do. Chris the sommelier from Courgette has moved here and is so wonderfully knowledgeable and attentive. We can not wait to to come back again.
I had always wanted to try this restaurant and the food was truly delectable with great presentation. The food was delicious and the service was great -with some mildly cheeky waiters (loved that). The atmosphere was also lovely because the different partitions in the restaurant means it doesn't get noisy and you can have a decent conversation. Les Bistronomes certainly did not disappoint! I will definitely go there again with my family.
This was our first visit to Les Bistronomes in its new location. We loved the new decor and it was the same great food and service. I had soufflé for the first time and it was amazing.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Service friendly and fun. Wine list extensive and the sommelier knowledgeable. Fine dining at its finest.
Loved the atmosphere in Braddon, the new premises in Campbell is extremely disappointing. Too crowded and noisy, and a shame as the food is still very good. We brought out of town friends here (based on Braddon experience) so we could dine and chat. Sadly won’t be returning whilst at this location - such a shame ????
Wonderful service! Excellent food and great location. Parking was plentiful. We have already chosen our meals in readiness of our next visit.
There were 9 of us celebrating a 30th birthday.Guests includerd my very frail father, aged 92 and my very pregnant daughter in law. Both these particular guests were excellently catered for food wise and comfort wise. The rest of us were able to sample everything which was wonderful.
Was very nice! Staff were helpful and kind, food was excellent and there was a nice simple atmosphere. I really enjoyed the chocolate Pavé, and my fiancé loved the white bait. Will definitely go again!
Classic French food in a classy setting with incredible service. The night was busy but we felt looked after with a warm greeting table water and menu straight up. Whitebait and fresh oysters gave the night a mouthful of the sea start. The pre-ordered whole duck did not disappoint- it was succulent and sat in a rich but not too sweet red cabbage sauce. The side of French peas were fresh and seasoned with speck and lashings of butter. One of the best creme brûlée’s I’ve had - a lit crusty top with a smooth not too sweet vanilla speckled custard underneath accompanied by a Jeir Creek dessert wine. Could not fault the food or service. Looking forward to a return visit to try some of the other French classics.
The food, service and ambience in the new restaurant location, is as as always, one of the best in Canberra. Great business move to relocate to the Campbell Shops. So much more room

Bringing a touch of Paris to Canberra is Les Bistronomes. The interior is simple with dark carpet, exposed brick walls, bare tables, a banquette down on side and red-striped chairs. Outside is a great big alfresco dining area surrounded by plants and herbs - a perfect little sanctuary for outdoor dining during spring/summer. The French bistro has a concise menu with entrees, mains, desserts and sides with classics like garlic snails, pork loin and duck a la orange making an appearance. It’s good food that’s been loved for generations, with a sprinkle of modern day finesse. With French wait staff manning the floor, this is the closest you'll get to a real Parisian experience on Aussie soil.
