Great service, attentive staff catered to all our needs, courses came on time and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Entree’s came promptly and mains arrived after the right time to wait. Desserts were to a high standard. A seriously enjoyable night for all that attended.
The personal service was awesome. The Food was very good as expected for a second visit. The snails are awesome (sounds weird but the salt at the bottom of the shells is delicious). These guys and girls know their stuff. Comfortable surroundings and great food from a talented team backed up by a friendly and knowledgeable service team.
Excellent food, a little pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. Great special deals during the week and Saturday lunch. Will definitely be back.
Old style menu, decor unremarkable. Good staff and good wine selection. Some dishes like the quail, salad and souffle good. Other dishes like the cheese dip, chestnut soup, bouillabaisse and crepe not so good. Would not return.
The food was interesting creative and delicious!..the staff were extremely friendly warm and attentive ..my third time there.. I will be back????.. I actually think this is my favourite restaurant in Canberra!!!
I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and it lived up to its reputation - as did the quite high price. The food and wine were excellent. The female wait staff appropriately friendly and professional. I found the Sommelier a bit rude. A bit noisy, however, it was packed and larger tables can be boisterous. Would go back mid week rather than a Saturday.
The second time I have visited Les Bistronomes in its new location & it really is perfect. Have enjoyed the A la carte menu on one visit, and today, the Saturday 5 course Degustation lunch: the food is fabulous, the service excellent. Really, it is just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.
Les Bistronomes hasn't lost its magic since moving from the city. Food as always is excellent and service equally as good. Will definitely be going back.
We will continue to come here time and time again for the amazing food and service - everything is wonderful, wine, food, service all dishes up with a heap of personality
Fabulous food. Laura, our waitress was delightful. My husband Paul had the perfect birthday. Merci mille fois
Simply the best food we have ever eaten in Canberra. The staff were welcoming and engaging, which added to the overall ambiance. We return each time we go to Canberra and we plan to continue to do so!
What a great evening - The food was fantastic and well presented, the wine we chose was a great accompaniment to or meals and did I mention dessert - to die for! Will certainly be returning.
Greeted by lovely waiters, our attending waiter/owner whom were servicing us on the night was more than pleasant. He explained every dish precisely to its details, accompanying his descriptions; we couldn’t fault the dishes. Will always return when we are feeling like French cuisine.
We knew this restaurant from its past excellent reputation in Braddon. We think the move to Campbell was a good one. With easier parking you can take your time to enjoy the very special food and service. We were a party of four and selected various items from the main dishes and desserts, all top quality. The passionfruit souffle is a specialty not to miss. Bravo to the owner and chefs. Wine a tad expensive but the one we chose was very good.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and very personable service. The chief and staff engage with customers ensuring everything is to our satisfaction. Most enjoyable evening.
New premises are excellent (at least now parking is easy), staff friendly and efficient, and food very, very good.
Every single food item I tried was amazing specially the lamb rump. The atmosphere is also very suitable for a French restaurant. Finally the service is very good. Really friendly staff and management. I can’t wait to go again
Wonderful food and service whilst a little pricey it was money well spent
Super friendly staff with a great sense of humour. The chef came out and explained the details of each dish. There was so much intricacy with the way all flavours worked together. The chef told us his story of how he became a chef from his days in Paris to Australia. Very hard work building his career.
What a charming restaurant set in the Campbell suburb in Canberra. It oozed charm and a french ambiance the minute you walked through the door with french rustic architecture and decor. We were greeted by the pleasant welcoming, yet not over the top, waiter and this pleasantness continued with the other staff throughout the meal. We chose the 7 course dégustation which was absolutely sublime. The balance of flavours with each dish was "to die for", the infusion of different spices at times would explode in your mouth. The space between each course was just right allowing us to savour the course we had just consumed and have time to have a chat before the next course arrived. Despite being busy as the restaurant most 75% full the waiters made time to chat to us. We were celebrating a special occasion and I was delighted that we had chosen this restaurant as I was not familiar with the place nor any prior knowledge of their quality other than the reviews on "The Fork". Well done Les Bistronomes, you have our vote and we will come again and indulge. Bryan Butler, Gordon ACT

Bringing a touch of Paris to Canberra is Les Bistronomes. The interior is simple with dark carpet, exposed brick walls, bare tables, a banquette down on side and red-striped chairs. Outside is a great big alfresco dining area surrounded by plants and herbs - a perfect little sanctuary for outdoor dining during spring/summer. The French bistro has a concise menu with entrees, mains, desserts and sides with classics like garlic snails, pork loin and duck a la orange making an appearance. It’s good food that’s been loved for generations, with a sprinkle of modern day finesse. With French wait staff manning the floor, this is the closest you'll get to a real Parisian experience on Aussie soil.
