Josh Kim

Chef Josh Kim’s career boasts some of the best venues in Sydney, including Bert’s and Queen Chow in Newtown, Papichulo in Manly, Sokyo in Pyrmont, and Mr Wong in Sydney. During his career he has been closely aligned with some of hospitality heavyweight Merivale’s best brands, working across many Asian fusion menus. Josh moved to Adelaide with his family in 2018 to take the role of Head Chef at Electra House Hotel, and brings with him a passion for bold Asian flavours and local produce.

Very classy atmosphere, food was great but slightly hard to share with a massive group. Nevertheless, the service was amazing and the waiters were really friendly.

Good value with 50% discount. Some tasty dishes but overall food was too salty. I wouldn’t recommend the beef brisket with noodles which tasted like salty fish sauce & didn’t look appealing. Staff were happy, friendly & accomodating. Chef came out to apologise after we were given very raw lamb skewers & gave us 3 dishes on the house. We left very full!

About Level One @ Electra House

Located on the first floor of Electra House Hotel, Level One is a Modern Asian restaurant with an informed yet informal dining style. The focus is on sharing a selection of plates with your friends – either by picking at a few bits while you enjoy a bottle of wine from our carefully selected wine list, or by feasting on our favourite dishes when you dine ‘Omakase’ style! With many years’ experience in Modern Australian, Italian and Japanese cuisine, Executive Chef Jamie Kang uses these skilled techniques paired with flavours from his Korean heritage to create a truly unique dining experience. Level One is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm and for lunch on Fridays. Available for private hire seven days a week.
