In this day an age of coffee, there is no room for a 60% of what could be. I may be the wrong person making this comment as I love my coffee. My first cup or should I say a mug was watery lacking Crema. Second cup I had a mouthful and left. Absolute shame as the food was 100%, service 100% and 200% for the location. Whomever was on the coffee machine needs formal training
John, We are usually complemented on our coffee and for the life me I can't figure out what happened. My barista's are all trained! My apologies. Regards Karen Sinclair

Good service with very efficient staff. As it was fairly busy we found it to be a bit noisy.
You may find a week day a little quieter. But we are a busy restaurant. It is generally busy most days. Early morning though is nice and quiet. Lots of birthdays last Sunday. Karen

About Lighthouse Beach Cafe

Welcome to Lighthouse Beach Cafe. Located right on the beautiful Lighthouse Beach in Ballina in the new Ballina Surf Club, the Lighthouse is well worth a trip. The cafe has was established December 2013 by Peter and Karen Sinclair. Karen is a local girl, having grown up in Ballina with her family being involved in the local business area since her grandfather first established his own business in town back in 1945! Peter heralds from the northern shores of Sydney and brings his mass knowledge of the industry! Head Chef Scott Bennett is also a local boy, he has worked in the industry since completing school at Ballina High in 1989. He has studied and worked in many restuarants over the years overseas and around Australia. He came home to settle with his family and raise them in the town that he loves! Come in and enjoy simple but delicious cafe style food, great coffee from Botero (local coffee from Maclean) and house made desserts. It's also a great spot for an evening drink while the sun is setting behind the horizon.
